  1. My license just came in the mail today! You are right calling probably speed yours up because mines took about 6 weeks from the date I mailed it in. Good luck to you on your new job!
  2. Hi, It is still pending I will call the Ohio BON tomorrow to see what is going on and let you know what they day.
  3. You're welcome and I did go to a webcheck location in Ohio because I thought the fingerprint cards would take too long also.
  4. I'm from out of state as well and I applied for my Ohio license about 5 weeks ago and my status is still pending.
  5. I agree, sadly this has become the norm. Well at least in my experience in the nursing world. I have received better feedback from fast food places or retail stores that I worked at as a teenager. If you happen to move further along in the process and have any questions feel free to ask me.
  6. I applied for the cohort in February 2013 and the start date is in May and I haven't heard anything back yet so I guess it's a no for me. However, I did get the initial phone screen then about 2 weeks later I was called for an interview so good luck to you.
  7. First I want to say congrats for making through nursing school alive! Like GrnTea suggested you could call the hospital and ask for the specific unit then ask to speak to the unit manager. I have done this a few times and normally they just transfer you over without asking why. However, if the unit clerk/secretary do ask why just have some reason already in mind. I would also ask for email addresses as well and was able to get those without a problem if they knew them. Another thing you could do is if you are a member of LinkedIn you could search for specific hospitals and then type in clinical manager, unit manager or manager and then it may list some of the managers and their unit. You could search the hospital website and see if they have the units listed as well and some times you could find unit managers that way too. Sorry for the long post. Good luck in your job search!
  8. Hello, I just wanted to start a thread about the May 2013 Promedica Nurse Residency Program in Ohio. Has anyone applied to this program? If so, have you heard anything back yet? If anyone has applied to the program in the past and can shed some insight or experiences that would be greatly appreciated also.
