  1. I got my information for an interview the last week of February and the interviews will be the week of March 10. Good luck! Find any of us on facebook if you have any questions. There are a lot of us. If you go back through this thread, you can see if one of us is in the same program that you applied for in January.
  2. Well I hope the one I already bought and washed works.
  3. I had a hard time with mine too! I ended up going to Adobe online and downloading the newest version for a free limited time download and made an account. That allowed me to create all the passwords and signatures needed to sign the plan of study. I then had to save it on my computer to email it back to them with my signature on it. Hope that helps!
  4. We can still help each other even though I live in Arkansas! Maybe we will all have to Skype or something along those lines...
  5. I think we will all make a great support group too! Who all is in NSG 910, BIO 800, and NSG 805? My name is Lauren Searcy if you search for me on Facebook or see me the first day of orientation. I'd love to meet you all since we've been helping each other through this all summer. Message me numbers too if y'all want! And 2blessedrn, where are you seeing social events? Also 2BlessesRN, I just saw where you asked about husband and kids etc... I'm 26, married, no kids, and have been an ICU RN for 4 years. Haha wow- sorry about not seeing that MONTHS ago!
  6. I found out that the lab coat has to be just below your bottom. Not the short med student ones or the long doctor ones. I'm in the acute care program and that's what Thompson wants. I think the FNP program wants something different. If you're in a different one, I'd email your advisor to double check
  7. I think what I remember doing is seeing on the Financial Aid section of the banner system that I was awarded money through FAFSA. I had to accept the money and then there was an counseling entrance requirement that I did on another website that I got to through the link provided in the "awarded" tab. I did the counseling and filled out my Master Promissary Note. I don't remember having to do anything else once the SAR was sent. I don't even have a copy of an email from FAFSA telling me that I had money awarded. It was all under the Financial Aid part of the Banner system. I did the Entrance Counseling about a week ago but when I just checked, it still says I haven't fulfilled that yet. It could be an issue with UTHSC since we are all behind from not having the NetIDs.
  8. On the Thursday we are on campus, it says that a lab coat is required. What kind of lab coat are y'all buying? A short one?
  9. And webcam should be we can... My bad
  10. I talked with a student and was told professional business attire (especially when the visiting speaker is there). I'm packing pants, dress shirts, skirts, heels, and flats. She said there might be one day webcam wear jeans but I'm not 100% on that.
  11. I only got the email to my personal email and not my UT email. Thanks for following up with BB tech support to get this fixed for everybody!
  12. Yeah. Mine only had the two days of itinerary. I'm thinking when we know what classes we have to sign up for, we will know which classes on Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday we will go to as well. I still can't sign into blackboard- anybody else with that issue?
  13. Thanks for finding that out about paying before we could register for our classes. I saw the hold on my account but had no idea where it came from. Now, I have paid the $75 so hopefully that will clear my holds!
  14. They send us information later this month with what classes to register for. We can't register until then from what I have heard.
  15. I talked with a friend in the program and she said we don't know our books until we get there in August. She said they tell you during lectures each day which ones to get. I can't believe your NetID still isn't working! Have you called IT?
  16. Is anyone else getting antsy about needing information for classes and books? AND school starting in just a few short weeks...
  17. I'm up for a study group! I think a lot of us will be in similar classes even if we have different end degrees.
  18. From what I've been told by a person a year ahead of us is that they will send us an email later telling us which classes we need to enroll for and how to do that. I can't believe they had so many people apply! That's crazy!
  19. How I'm reading it, I'm saying yes to being done on Thursday too. But I can't figure out which of the classes I'm going to have to go to. Maybe a more individualized schedule will come out in a few days along with out NetIDs... From how I'm looking at the schedule, I'm done on Tuesday at 11 but have to be back at 4 or so. ?
  20. Hey ame3836, I'm in the Little Rock area of Arkansas but I will be driving up there on Sunday and getting a hotel room. the interstate to Memphis is horrible and after seeing some days we have to be there at 0630, I'd rather stay closer and get more sleep than drive two hours home just to do it again in a few hours.
  21. I purchased the heart murmurs book, the Washington Manuel, and the purple book that I can't remember the name of at the moment. I got them all on Amazon
  22. I sent you the book list now. Also Theonly321- you should have the book list I received in your inbox. I just wish they would hurry up with these NetIDs!
  23. My interview was more like a job interview for the dual track program. Questions like why I wanted to be a DNP, why I chose UTSHC, strengths and weaknesses, where I saw myself in 5 years, etc... Then I had to type an essay in 30 minutes that was timed. There were a few different questions to chose from for the essay and that was pretty much it for me. There was also somebody from the previous class that was there to answer any of my questions about the program from a student perspective. Hope that helps!
  24. I think I'll be doing the same thing by going prn in January. I have a friend in the program now and she's had clinic Friday day and works Friday night. There's no way I'm going to do that. I don't know how people worked full time with the dual program and maintained the grade point average that you have to keep. Too stressful for me!
