  1. Tested positive PPD exposure, employer did nothing

    In January of this year, (live and work in Florida) I got my usual yearly PPD screening. Came up positive for the first time. Employer told me I didn't need an xray or even offer one. I didn't sign a waiver or anything at all for that matter. I have since left my job...so not more health insurance at this time. Starting having an array of symptoms that made me go to the ER to request a chest xray (it was negative). Showed doc my positive results. He contacted CDC. CDC said they never were notified by the hospital I worked for that I had been exposed. I now have to report to CDC for an official second PPD. Does anyone if this is a faux paux on my employers part? And yes, I am now stuck with the ER bill. Appreciate input. Thanks!
