  1. all i can say is keep calm and read all the rationale by heart. don't let the score frustrate you. I used to think about the score, and it only led me to getting more lower score! Also, team the uworld up with kaplan or anything that gives difficult questions. Good luck :)
  2. hello Everyone! I just want to share my glorious victory to this scary Nclex, how i study to it, and what resources I used. First of all, I've been out of school for 6 years and a foreign graduate( Philippines). I failed on my 1st attempt with 75 questions, I used Kaplan during that time and was so devastated that I failed the test. Well, 6 years later, I started working as a CNA in a hospital and decided to finally get back on track and finish my course- to pass the NCLEX. I studied for almost 3 months and dedicated my life to it. Month 1- I used Saunders and Hurst for content. Both are great resources but I find Saunders to be the most helpful coz you are like going back to nursing school. Hurst is more of a short cut and I recommend it to the fresh grads. Month 2- I used Kaplan qbank, not for me unfortunately. I was doing 60-70% but the rationales are aweful and vaguely worded. i still stick to it and finished all the questions. I used the Kaplan's lab results as well. Month 3- Since i wasn't doing well with content, i tried going back to Saunders, but OMG i can't contain the information in my brain! so i researched, and i Find U world. IT WAS THE BEST PURCHASE OF MY LIFE! FOR 89 DOLLARS ONLY(one month purchase)! But I wasn't doing well in terms of percentage, Im getting 50-60%. But the numbers didn't scare me, I knew I needed to read thoroughly the rationales. Uworld will give you at least 50 sata and all the difficult questions per 75 questions and i was a good practice for me! Before the day of the exam, i didn't study and just walk and have fun. The day of the exam- I was 1 hour early, didn't bring all my notes and tried so hard to relax. I started my test at 8am. AND OMG! THE NCLEX SCREEN AND UWORLD IS THE SAME! IT WAS SUCH A RELIEF!!! on the 3rd question, IT WAS SATA, AND I HAVE 10 STRAIGHT SATAs FOLLOWED BY EXHIBITS! I finally took an unscheduled break on question 50. I puked in the bathroom and cried a little bit. I was thinking why am i getting hard questions? Went back in, questions 60 to 70 was al multiple choice, and lo and behold 70 to 75 were all SATA! on question 75 i was like " please let me continue on, please!" I shut off I felt like ambivalent about it. "Did I pass or fail?" I went home, curled up in my couch and was watching Catfish(lol). Got super sick the next day. I didn't do the PVT trick coz it just makes me more anxious. AND 48 HOURS LATE, I GOT MY RESULT FROM THE BON. I PASSED! I PASSED!! KEEP YOUR FAITH, YOU CAN MAKE IT
  3. Hey there! I highly recommend Uworld plus kaplan plus PDA by Lacharity! I passed my NCLEX with 75 questions, mostly SATAs (more than 30) and Mostly world helped me because it gives you an in-depth rationalization esp that you were out of school for a while. Do 75 questions a day with world then 2 or 3 topics of PDA, and if you want more, do kaplan. Good luck!
  4. HELLO EVERYONE, I have been reading about the new PVT trick and how to do it as of today. People say hit "submit" button, and the "good pop-up" will show up. However, I am not sure if where will it show up, will it show up on the first "submit" button? or you really have to attempt to pay $200 and the good pop-up or bad pop-up(Pearson will take your money) will show up? because I did watch people on youtube and I have seen one lady actually hit the "Submit" button twice then she had the good pop-up. and I have seen one guy hit the submit button once and the good pop-up showed up. And most people are saying wait after 24 hours after you took the nclex. I assume if this is the case, PVT is no longer a trick and merely just a glitch. Maybe it is really best just to wait 48 hours for the unofficial result. BUT THAT 48 HOURS SEEMS LIKE FOREVER! BUT WILL YOU RISK YOUR $200 DOLLARS? Since Pearsonvue can also take your money away even if you passed.
