  1. I think you're going to be driven crazy enough just trying to keep up with your load of classes, let alone taking on a persona that you think is what everyone wants to see. Just worry about being respectful and being yourself. If you think that you'll make a great nurse (and I hope that you do, seeing as you're going to school for it), that will just come through naturally. I don't know what you would characterize as "aggressive," but you should never be afraid to ask and answer questions and to challenge yourself! It's important and beneficial for you to stand out among your peers... and that's true of any academic pursuit.
  2. It's unfortunate that people feel the need to put others down based on ideas that society has planted in their heads, particularly something as idiotic as perceived gender roles. I think it's important to remember that you've chosen a career path that will allow you to help people for a living, to be there for them in their time in need, to put a human face on healthcare. It's important work, and anyone who would put you down for wanting to do it is probably pretty unhappy with where their life has ended up.
  3. Oh, and! @Cupidsqueen420: Since you enrolled last year as well, I had a question I wanted to ask. I apparently can't send PMs until I've posted about 15 things, so would you be able to get at me through email? My address is [email protected] Thanks! -Garrett
  4. Hey folks! I just got my acceptance letter in the mail yesterday, but there was no mention of this $50 deposit that people have been talking about? Should I call the school or...? -Garrett
