I was able to walk into Working Class and get my uniforms about five weeks ago and leave with them in hand, so I'm not sure about time frame if order was placed. They have plenty of patches in the store; so as far as only getting the uniforms there you don't have to from what I understand. You can buy the patches and have them sewn on your uniform. You can get the scrubs from other stores you just have to get the same Cherokee style numbers. I picked up my pen light and bandage scissors today from Uniform store in Tinley and they actually had the same female tops, I looked around bc I was curious. i used Castle Branch for drug screen and they sent me to Lab Corps for the test. I had my results the next day. I found my results by logging back into my profile and going to my orders, and selecting my results. I printed the results and gave a copy to the clinical coordinator. Heartland Health Centers on 845 Wilson Ave (773-506-4283), will complete all physical requirements, including the titers and drug screen for a flat cash only rate of $260. The doctor is only there Monday thru Friday till noon.

my email has ADN handbook attached. You might want to call tomorrow sounds like you got the wrong one.

Oaky I just checked again and have an email that came through at 9:08 pm. Handbook is attached and must be reviewed before orientation. I hope you guys got your email too.

that is odd. I have not gotten any info yet for RN program and I just checked email. I submitted all documents and accepted my seat by email way before deadline. Any other RN folks get anything?

The doctor is only there Monday thru Friday till noon. The City School of Chicago physical forms have to be presented at the appointment bc the clinic does not have them. Apointments can be scheduled now, I scheduled my appointment for the second week of August bc I'm guessing we will get the forms at orientation. But bc of my work schedule I could not risk scheduling at the last minute since we don't know what the deadline for these requirements will actually be....however I do have a good feeling they will have to be completed in a short period of time following orientation. Hope this helps! If anyone else has any info please pass it along and share it with the group....

Hi Fellow Fall 2016 Cohort Classmates- I think that we can take CPR with the below company, the course is $45 and they have three locations. We need the healthcare provider course (BLS/CPR)....link is below if anyone is interested. I'm going to start knocking some of what I know will be the requirements out of the way bc I work full-time and won't be able to run around like crazy in August. cpr-bls-chicago - CPR Associates Chicago - CPR Associatesinc - CPR Associates, Inc. Also, from what I understand we will order uniforms through Working Class (southside on Cicero) or Uniforms to You (north side on Elston). They have the patches and style numbers for the uniforms if you call or stop in. Again this is my understanding from what was required in the past, so I'm going to get the ball rolling to start checking things off the list. Hope this is helpful to anyone interested.

Yes I'm sure there is more info to come about those additional requirements. I'm sure CPR is one as well, and I am going to go ahead and get my scheduled to complete that. I work full time so I need to start knocking things out as soon as possible.

Thanks that is how I read it, but that seems like a lenthy orientation in comparison to a few other schools. I guess we will get more details soon.

Congrats Everyone! Just checked my email and have acceptance letter in hand. I'm glad the waiting is over! Does anyone know if the orientation is for three days, or is it one day out of those three?

0Hello Nurses and Nursing Student Community...... Can anyone provide any details about the evening and weekend cohort clinical options? I understand that you get placed based on the day of the week you are scheduled for, but in looking at Truman's schedule the evening weekend sections all say TBD for the clinical sites. Has anyone taken the evening/weekend sections with CCC? If so, can you share if you were placed at an actual clinical site? I have heard that sometimes in lieu of clinicals they will have students complete exercises in the lab. Since I am not a current student I don't know how effective this method would be in preparing students for actual nursing jobs. Also, if any recent grads review this post, please share how you fared out on the NCLEX and job placement if you don't mind. I am weighing my options between the ADN route and the BA to BSN route at Resurrection. The cost difference is pretty significant, but I am willing to invest more if needed. Any information anyone could share would be helpful. Thanks in advance for your responses!!

Yes, the hours are winding down. I hope they actually send out the decisions tomorrow. I read older threads about the application process and last year students did not receive responses until May! Yikes!! I hope that is not the case this year! Good luck everyone!
