Hi Everyone, To all the knowledgeable soon-to-be's CRNA's or CRNA's. I currently work at a Level 1 Trauma ER. I am looking at the affiliated CRNA program down the street. Take a moment to read this... A minimum of one complete year of full time, recent experience as a Registered Professional Nurse in a critical care setting with demonstrated proficiency in managing critically ill patients, mechanical ventilation, invasive hemodynamic monitoring, vasoactive IV infusions and aggressive fluid management. Preferred areas of critical care experience include: surgical ICU, cardio thoracic ICU, neurosurgical ICU, burn ICU. Pediatric ICUs, neonatal ICUs. PACU experience is generally not considered acceptable, but may be if care is comparable to other ICUs. Do you think this program will accept 2 or more years in this setting? Share your thoughts!
