  1. I currently work at Grady and I can tell you it's not a piece of cake. You will work your behind off, but it is worth it. I have learned so much from adapting to certain situations and rolling with the punches. The patient population is a blessing to work with and I am happy to work there. Just like any other job, there will be things you like and don't like. We are short staffed some days and that provides opportunities for overtime and PTO. From what I hear, the pay is average if not slightly higher here than other hospitals. Working at Grady is like a love/hate relationship. The teamwork here is spectacular and you don't have to worry about feeling alone. There is always someone in the trenches with you.
  2. Congrats to everyone who made it in!!!! I got my letter today as well!!! I was able to pull up the orientation letter and we have lots to do.
  3. I have been checking the mailbox everyday, faithfully for the past two weeks. I am soooo anxious. Good luck to everyone!!!
  4. I was contacted for an interview on Wednesday and I completed it yesterday. I don't want to say too much, but I think it went well. Congrats on the others for getting an interview as well.
  5. I haven't heard anything at all. I'll probably ask my adviser and see what she has to say about it. I was starting to think they didn't get my application or crazy things like that lol. The wait is nerve-wrecking for sure. I did end up applying to Armstrong Atlantic as a back-up.
  6. Has anyone heard anything back yet?
  7. I am trying to get as close as possible. Those are my stats without the classes I'm taking this semester so I'm working to pull it up. I am taking Patho, Statistics, Interative Comm. & an art class. Skaimarie, you shouldn't worry. Have you applied yet?
  8. Thank you futureRN2015! I'm keeping faith and hoping for the best. I know that the adviser will probably say something about it, but I won't let it get me down.
  9. I haven't applied yet, but I plan to after I meet with my adviser next week. My stats are GPA:3.44 M/S GPA: 3.0 TEAS: 84 (first time today, I'm happy) I did notice the change in requirements too. It makes me nervous!
  10. Thank you ATLback2RN! Good luck to you as well.
  11. Congrats everyone who got accepted!!! I've been watching this board for a while. Thanks for the tips. I'm applying for Spring 2014 so I'm about to start the process.
