  1. Thank you for the advice and the links. I will do some research before I accept the offer. I don't want to get in anything that could make me lose my license. I am happy where I'm at right now In med surg. I will talk with her about the expectations of the job and my concerns.
  2. Thanks for replying. We are sitting down together this week. I will post back with details. Maybe she doesn't realize the complexity of what she is asking me to do.
  3. I'm not sure exactly what I would be doing. We haven't gotten together to discuss details. I was just wondering if anyone had experience with this. I would hope she would want someone more experienced for something so complex. She knows I am a new nurse. I
  4. An old friend has asked me if I would be interested in consulting for a new home care agency she is starting up. I would be assessing pts to determine if they need homecare upon disharge from hospital. I don't know very many details yet, except she would only need me a few hours a week. It is going to be in home adl care, but the insurance requires an RN on staff to do assessments. Does this sound like something for a new nurse? I have a few months experience on a med surg floor. I don't want to get myself in over my head
  5. I have the kaplan 2013 strategies book. I like it. The strategies can be useful but not for $400-500. It also has practice Qs and 2 practice tests.
  6. Kaplan is over rated and overpriced. The rationales were not informative and the presentation was horrible for the price paid. I did online review. I hear in class is much better. I cancelled my subscription after a few weeks and signed up for ncsbn. I like it much better. I test the the 19th.
