HELP! Stressing about chemistry
Hi Goddess9! Thanks for the reply. A lot of other people told me the same thing about chemistry, theres just a lot of practicing that I will have to do. Also, it was an Elementary Algebra that I took. I'm taking Intermediate Algebra next semester. I wish I would of took it before trying to get into Chemistry. But I can't really drop out now, I enrolled into Chemistry during the summer and ended up dropping it in the first week. I wouldn't want to drop it again . Thankfully there is a tutoring center at my school, that I will be utilizing! I'm going to be going there today (and probably everyday). I've also heard of Khan Academy, and forgot about it. Thanks for reminding me. Lastly, I hope it will click in like you say it will! Thanks!

HELP! Stressing about chemistry
Hello everyone. The new semester has started, and I am enrolled into an Intro chemistry class. It is intro to chemistry (general, organic, and biological). This class consists of two semesters. I am taking the first part. So far it is stressing me out so much! Professor handed out a math review packet, and I'm like review? I don't even think I ever learned this stuff! I took the Math class that was a prerequisite to this class and passed with a B. but it doesn't seem it was enough. Any tip on how to brush up on my math skills? What did you guys do?

Sacramento State BSN Nursing Program Cost
Hello! To graduates of the Sacramento State BSN nursing Program, what did it cost you? Tuition, books, misc.,etc. I know theres a section on their website about tuition and fees. But I was looking at the Physical Therapy Program there and it seems to have a different price than tuition and fees. I was wondering if the Nursing program has the same thing. Answers great appreciated, Thanks.

Questions about what counts as overall GPA.
The first class I took was Math 102- which is Elementary Algebra Part 2 (second half of book). I went back and took Math 100 which is Elementary Algebra (we learned the whole book) and got a B and passed it. I'm able to make it in Intermediate Algebra because it requires either Math 100 or 102. I will be taking the Intermediate Algebra class soon, and then onto Statistics. Thank you!

Questions about what counts as overall GPA.
Yes, I'm looking at (several) CSU programs. And that's what I was thinking. I didn't want to re-take it and waste my time! Could use that time for a more important pre-req class But Thank you for the help! It is very appreciated.

Questions about what counts as overall GPA.
Yes, I know which classes are transferable and which aren't. Thank you for the reminder. This math class is an Elementary Algebra Class, and it is not a transferable class. I think it is mostly likely not looked at. But I will double check with the programs.

Questions about what counts as overall GPA.
Good idea, I'll go ahead and ask the programs directly. Thank you.

Questions about what counts as overall GPA.
Hello everyone! Pre-nursing student here, and just like everyone else always worrying about my GPA! Anyways, I know that some programs only look at GPA from prerequisite classes, and there are some who look at that too but also your overall GPA. That overall GPA is (prerequisites+general education classes only) right? I just want to double check! I have a bad grade in a math class, but it is not a general education class. I'm wondering if I should bother retaking it, but if they don't even look at it, why bother right? Please give me some insight on this please, I'd rather spend my time focusing on the important science classes! Thank you everyone. :)

Hi! Starting college in fall 2013, going to do pre-reqs for BSN nursing program :D!!
Hi there! I just wanted to get myself started in the forum :). Anyways I'm graduating high school, and I'm starting college in the fall. Both my boyfriend and I are planning on becoming nurses. We would love to be able to reach a APN level. We are going a junior college that happens to be right behind our house (very convenient!) where we will be going for approximately 2 years to do our general education and prerequisite requirements. Then we will apply and hopefully get accepted in the nursing program we are applying to. Our first and probably only choice is Sacramento State's nursing program. It's a bsn program which we are aiming for, and we wouldn't have to relocate. The only other 2 programs in the area are adn and they are a lottery system. Sacramento State is perfect for us ! It's a BSN program and students are chosen based on a point system. I heard it is very competitive but we will try our hardest and work our asses off for the next 2 years to land our dream job ! I'm so excited I can't wait. Oh and what do you guys think about these prereqs.. any helpful tips? 1. English 1A (any G.E. Area A2 course) 2. Oral Communication (any G.E. Area A1 course) 3. Critical Thinking (any G.E. Area A3 course) 4. Quantitative Reasoning (Statistics is recommended; any G.E. Area B4 course is acceptable.) 5. Organic Chemistry (with in-class lab) 6. Anatomy or Anatomy and Physiology I (with in-class lab) 7. Physiology or Anatomy and Physiology II (with in-class lab) 8. Microbiology (with in-class lab)
