  1. 75... I was finished in about 90 minutes. I reeeeallly took my time :-).
  2. I just found out... I PASSED!!! Oh my goodness, it feels so good to be one of the ones on here who feel so relieved after that horrendous exam. Thank you everyone for your support!! @Capriinverno, I felt that some questions were easier than Kaplan, but overall I agree with the other posters - that there is no amount of studying you can do to feel 100% comfortable answering questions. There were definitely some about things I hadn't seen since the first day of nursing school. My biggest advice would be to know your priorities like the back of your hand, breathe and focus on each question, and don't neglect first-day-of-clinical stuff. Your readiness score looks good :-). Good luck!!!
  3. Well, I took it this morning. Walked out totally feeling like I failed. I still do. Did PVT when I got in my car, got the good pop-up... Just tried PVT again just now, got the good pop up again (~4 hours later), but still feel like it's too soon to believe. UGH why must they torture us with this wait???
  4. Thank you for the advice, everyone! Got a 71% on the readiness test today... Just going to go in there and do my best on Tuesday. I will try to relax tomorrow! Hoping I'll have some good news to post by Thursday (or earlier!). Thanks again
  5. CONGRATS to both of you!!!! This gives me hope . Thank you!! On to doing a million more Kaplan questions...
  6. Hi All! I've been lurking for NCLEX advice here for a few weeks (and a long-time lurker of nursing school advice for a couple of years). Just graduated magna cum laude from an accelerated ABSN program... Did pretty well in school, but have heard horror stories of people failing NCLEX despite good grades, yadda yadda yadda. I have a dream job lined up contingent on my passing, but know I'll lose it if I fail - typical story, huh? Our school used Kaplan; I added the Hurst review for content (didn't do 5th day CD, just the lectures and workbook), and have done a few alt format questions from Lippincott. I got Saunders for Christmas but haven't used it much. Here are my Qbank scores: Q1 66.7% Q2 65.3% Q3 60% Q4 60% Q5 56% Q6 65.5% Q7 63.8% Qbank average 61% Predictor/Diagnostic 65.3% Priorities 86.7% Alt Format 34% So... What do all you NCLEX geniuses think? I would love and appreciate any last minute advice!! Thank you in advance .

Thank you for all your help, everyone! I am leaning toward neonatology or OB/women's health, so I'd like to work for at least a couple years in one or both fields before deciding to pursue APN certification. I'm a pretty long way off, but it's helpful to know which trajectory to choose. The only advantage to this accelerated MSN is that I'll have a master's in 3 years as opposed to waiting to go back after potentially several years. But a specialty I'm passionate about takes priority. Thanks for the advice! I really appreciate it.

Hi All! I'm attending the University of Indianapolis for the Accelerated Masters Program. I have a bachelor's degree in a different field. I'm currently in the process of finishing the BSN portion (after which I'll take the NCLEX and hopefully pass!). My ultimate goal is to be an Advanced Practice Nurse (as of now, women's health, neonatology, or peds). The problem is, the only specialty option for the master's portion is Nursing and Health Systems Leadership. I know I'm able to "stop out" after the BSN portion in order to work and explore more options. Does anyone know of BSN to MSN/APN programs? I know there are several accelerated programs for non-nurses, but what about nurses wishing to be an advanced practice nurse in a specific field? I appreciate your guidance!
  9. Got an interview for PNP!!! Congrats to everyone hearing back! Now nervous for other reasons...
  10. I never got the impression that anything was set in stone. Even after this email. I'm going to assume we'll know by Friday at the latest about all interviews. But then again, the whole process has been kind of nerve wracking and confusing, so who knows? Gonna try to focus on "spring break" and go see a movie. Need to get my mind off this!
  11. I emailed yesterday re: an approximate date on which we would hear about interview notifications and this was the reply: "Interviews will be held between April 5th and April 25th. We will find out next Friday as to who will be asked to interview. Thanks. UIC College of Nursing" Hope that gives some relief!
  12. I hope so... It seems to be cutting it a bit close to wait until the week of the 1st to let people know, right? I'm wondering the same thing.
  13. If it's the same guy I've spoken to, he's so nice! They'll probably email you about your scores... Although they're pretty busy with all of our applications!
