Columbia Post-RN DNP 2020
Hello! Anyone else waiting on a response from admissions for Columbia’s DNP program for 2020? I heard the MDE applicants have already received their admission notifications and judging from the posts on here, it seems applicants from the past few cohorts usually hear back the last week of February. Best of luck to everyone ?

Here's the link for the facebook group: Log into Facebook | Facebook @nycgirl1994 -- the guy I spoke with wasn't clear on a specific date, but he said early next week. Some people have posted in this thread about hearing results on Mondays, so hopefully you'll hear by then! P.S. Anyone moving from California/west coast area??

Nyu absn spring 2017
To answer everyone's questions -- I'm from California, and I submitted my application 3 days before the priority deadline in early September. Congratulations to those accepted and good luck to those still waiting for news! I spoke with an admissions counselor today and he said decisions are being sent out today and also early next week (although he didn't give me a specific day) so I'll keep my fingers crossed! Has anyone made a facebook group for this cohort yet? If not I'll make one and post up a link by tonight

Do you remember what date you applied by? I hate how applying by the priority deadline seems to have been pointless...

Nyu absn spring 2017
Hey guys, I just called admissions and spoke with a counselor as well. He said we will DEFINITELY not hear back before November 18th (both priority and regular applicants). He also said he knows some people heard back last week, but that doesn't mean the rest of us who are still waiting have lower chances or anything. Everyone will receive an email asking them to check Albert for their admission status, so let's hope we get it on the 18th! I'm also waiting to hear back from this school before I accept my second choice...their deposit is due next week so I'm stressing too

Johns Hopkins Masters Entry 2017 (MSN)
Hi everyone! I just discovered this thread (: I found out last week (on my birthday - best gift ever) that I was accepted, and that I received a merit scholarship as well...I'm completely blown away O.O I really wasn't even expecting to be admitted. I'm still waiting to hear back from NYU and Rutgers, but this is definitely my top choice so far. I wish I could attend the admitted students day this weekend, but I live in CA and can't make it out If anyone goes, please let me know what I missed! Congrats to everyone who was accepted and good luck to those still waiting -- can't wait to meet you all

Ahh I applied the day before the deadline haha so hopefully I hear back soon too O.O I also live on the west coast so I want to hear back sooner rather than later

Congrats to those already accepted!! And good luck to those still waiting (like me!) haha. For the people who were admitted, do you mind sharing when you submitted your apps?

When I spoke with admissions asking about my application, they said not to expect any news until early November...they weren't very specific

I don't think anyone will be hearing back until at least the second week of November This wait is killing me too!

Rutgers spring 2017 absn
Hi everyone! I just discovered this thread...I also applied to the spring ABSN program. I hate that this next month will just be waiting, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed! Hopefully we hear back in November (:

NYU ABSN Spring 2017
Hey @nem90 -- I totally forgot it's around that time where midterms start getting handed out...good luck with all your exams! I really hope you did well, but I'm sure you did (: I live in California, so I'm hoping I hear back during the first week of November. I've read some old threads saying that they send out acceptances to people they DEFINITELY want first, and then to the next tier after some people start declining...if this is true, I'll be really nervous if I don't hear back by November 16th like you! O.O I'm checking my Albert page every day as well, even though I know nothing is going to change for another month haha. I thought applying to schools was bad, but I feel like this is even worse - the waiting, and not being able to do anything to speed up time. Let's just hope these next few weeks fly by!

Is anyone else having trouble logging into the Albert homepage?? I've been trying to check my application status but haven't been able to login. I can't believe it's already mid October! One more month of this torturous waiting haha

NYU ABSN Spring 2017
Hey @nem90! Sorry for the late response -- I was out of town and didn't have internet access, but just logged on today and saw your response. Thank you so much for the info! You've given such great advice and help in general, and it's much appreciated! I found the thread where you posted the full schedule and it honestly doesn't seem too bad...I mean, I'll be a full time student and my first priority will be school, so I'd like to have my hands full and keep myself busy. I'm just still a bit concerned about finances...I'm gonna have to find some PT work to see if I can minimize the loans (or at least save the loans for tuition expenses!), but if I really don't have the time then I guess I won't have a choice. Hopefully if I get in, I can use the first semester to test the waters a bit! I just called the school yesterday to make sure they received all my paperwork and application materials, and they said everything is set to go! So I guess now the waiting game is just continuing to drive me crazy When did you hear back about your acceptance?? I've read other threads saying early to mid November, so perhaps about one more month??

The wait is literally killing me too haha I check my application status all the time even though I know I won't hear back until November

NYU ABSN Spring 2017
Hey @nem90! Thanks so much for the response! It really helps me, especially coming from a current student in the program. Unfortunately, I'm not a NY resident, so it looks like I'll have to utilize as many fed loans as possible. Thankfully, I didn't take any out for undergrad, so hopefully I won't be too limited. As for the scholarship that NYU offers ($2500/semester), is there a specific name for this scholarship? Like is it restricted to nursing program students or for all grad students? Ideally, I'd love to live in Manhattan or Brooklyn, but I know these places get pretty pricey. I absolutely love the area that the school is in, so I'll cross my fingers that I'll find something there that's not too out of my price range. I just really want to be accepted and live in NY haha...this waiting is killing me! One more question -- in terms of schedule, what is yours like for the first semester compared to now? I've read other threads saying students have a great Mon-Thurs schedule, and they use the other three days to finish homework, study or work part-time. I know the ABSN program is rigorous, but the schedule sounds pretty flexible. Thanks again for all the great tips!! You're a lifesaver

NYU ABSN Spring 2017
Thank you so much for the help :) It is greatly appreciated! I would say my main concern is the financial aspect...I know financial aid is limited for second degree applicants Do you have any suggestions (other than loans and scholarships) on how to navigate the hefty tuition? I'm also planning to live off campus and would love recommendations on good neighborhoods to live in! I'm not opposed to commuting an hour or so to school, so places like Brooklyn are fine. Other than that...how do you like the program?? What do you love about it and what do you wish you had more of? Anything helps

Nyu absn spring 2017
Hi all! I'm a little late to this thread, but just discovered it today haha. I also submitted my Spring 2017 ABSN application last week...wanted to do it before the priority deadline just in case. I can't believe we've got to wait two months to hear back I'm already getting so anxious! Haha this is my first choice school so that could also be the reason why I'm so impatient. Good luck to everyone who applied! It seems like everyone has submitted great applications. Hopefully we'll be able to call each other classmates in the future

NYU ABSN Spring 2017
Hi all I recently submitted an application for NYU's accelerated second degree nursing program for this upcoming spring 2017. I thought I'd see who else is in the same boat as me...I know we won't be notified of decisions until at least November, so having company while I'm waiting would be nice haha. Anyone else out there applying/planning to apply? Or for current students/alumni, any general advice or relevant information? Cheers

University of San Francisco BSN 2013
Initially when you logged in you could click on "Fall 2013" and see the dates of your processed documents, but now it doesn't even show that link? That's strange...I would call and ask. But I wouldn't assume it means you didn't get in! Don't give up hope :)
