  1. NYU ABSN Program

    Hello all! I've just applied for the NYU ABSN program and I'm really hoping to be accepted, but really have no idea of what the average GPA is to get into this program. I graduated from the University of South Florida in Tampa with a Biomedical Science degree and a 3.6 GPA. But I have a 4.0 in all of the pre-reqs. I have >60 hours volunteer experience in the Critical Care Unit, >100 hours physician shadowing and I currently tutor high school kids in subjects from algebra to chemistry to AP calculus. I would think I'm competitive for their school, but I really have no one to compare myself to. Also, has anyone done the ABSN program at NYU? How did you like it? What were your job prospects like? How "respected" is an NYU degree and do you think graduate level nursing programs would be more likely to accept you? Where would you suggest living that is pet friendly? Thanks everyone! Kristina
