I'm aware of that. But was thinking since I wouldn't be able to apply for work visa after OPT with ADN, is it recommended to go for BSN before OPT?

Thank you! What do you think would be the best I do: shall I go right away and get my BSN and do the OPT after. Or apply for OPT after my ADN and then have someone apply for my inmigrant visa (since the working visa criteria need a bachelors degree candidate). Yeah will need to consult an immigration lawyer soon.

Thank you! Now I understand it better. Well, I would be willing to have the status of student while waiting for this I140. Would I be able to work or attend school while waiting for them to approve my working visa? Would I need to leave USA at this time and come back if approved? Also, what is important to me is hearing stories from other people how they got to be sponsored from their employees. I would like to know what states/areas is a smoother process in obtaining that status.

Thank you for your reply! What is a PD?
  6. Hello fellow nurses and nursing students, I am an international student aiming to graduate in December, 2015 with my ADN. When I graduate I plan to apply for the OPT program. Had any of you worked with an OPT program? If yes, where and were you able to gain sponsorship from them after a year? Thank you!
  7. Hello nurses and fellow nursing students, I am an international nursing student attending one of the CUNY community colleges in New York, NY. I am expecting to graduate this December, 2015 . After graduating I will be applying for my Occupational Practical Training.Has any of you had luck into being hired as an entry level ADN with that status and anyone been offered sponsorship for the green card afterwards. Do you think that it would be easier to be hired in other states Since New York hospitals are leaning towards BSN. I was thinking of moving to the Oklahoma, Texas or any of the surrounding states. Any tips, advice or information is more than welcomed! Thank you in advance!
