you got it right, as i understand it nurses will be racing to find classes to take or perhaps hospitals will provide training so everyone will be up to the states standards.

Experienced Phlebotomists or nurses that draw blood will have until 4/9/06 to obtain a state certificate. There is a three year grandfather clause. So i think that everyone will be rushing to obtain a certificate unless paid or volunteer on the job experience acquired between 4/9/98-4/9/03. Will this effect alot of people. I am just starting out in the phlebotomist career.
