Nurse Study Desk suggestions?
Thanks for the comments - both of you! Yes, I have looked into Craigslist and in my area there aren't many good desks for sale right now at this very moment. I actually had a deal worked up with someone to purchase a desk - but they pulled a fast one on me and sold it to someone else before I even had the chance to go and see it. I REALLY want an L-shaped desk with a lot of space so I am kind of picky :) That is why I keep pursuing this Office Depot one!

Okay, I have the webpage of the desk favorited so I can check it daily because I do not want to miss that good deal! Haha, and oh yeah I bet. My finals are in 2 weeks! You can just take a picture of the desk and then upload it to tinypic.com and then it will just generate a link for you to sent to me! Super easy! Whenever you get the chance :) I'd appreciate it so much you're awesome!

Nurse Study Desk suggestions?
Hello again BEL985! Okay, I am seriously thinking about purchasing this desk and am patiently waiting for it to go on sale. Do you have any idea exactly how many times it does go on sale during the year? I am hoping it was just not a Black Friday sale or something when you purchased it, because I sure would love to get it when it is on sale for that nice price you mentioned. You should send me a picture of what your desk looks like in your room currently! I like to see pictures of desk when they are a little "lived-in" as opposed to the pictures they have on the Office Depot website where they look pristine haha! Thank you. Hopefully you get a notification that I replied late to this and get the chance to reply :)

Grades
Thank you all for the responses, they all were very helpful and made me feel a lot less stressed about this grades situation. I am actually meeting with my professor tomorrow just to discuss possible test-taking strategies I can implement in order to help me do better on her tests and also just to let her know that I am concerned about my scores and just want to do better! Thanks for all of the help, again :) :)

Could you elaborate more on the desk? I have actually viewed this one in the past and thought it looked great. Perhaps talk about the pros/cons!? Thank you.

Grades
Hello there, I am feeling pretty discouraged right about now. I came into Nursing school with a 4.0 GPA and I did excellent in all of my pre-req courses. The first semester of Nursing I maintained my 4.0 and achieved more than 100% in most of my courses. Now, this second semester of the first year, I am doing I guess "above-average" but I am struggling in one of my courses where we are finally being exposed to the more critical-thinking scenario based questions and I am having a hard time. This last exam, the topic was Gerontology and the exam covered things like social security issues, legal issues, elder abuse, chronic illness, etc... I studied seriously the hardest I have ever studied for a test. I read the chapters FIVE times over. I made SO many flashcards (hand-written) and then made flashcards on quizlet. I studied with a nursing student quizzing eachother for 3 hours in one sitting. I was quizzed by my boyfriend as well. I feel like I went through every avenue of studying possible and I got a B on the test. I am now to the point where getting an A in the class is unobtainable. I got A's on the first two exams, a C on the third, and now a B on the second. I have been studying the same way.. except this last one I studied even harder. I am having a really hard time and am getting really nervous about my grades from here on out because this teacher with the hard questions is one I will be having for the rest of my nursing school experience and her questions make me feel so nervous and make me feel horrible. Any advice? Thank you. I really appreciate it.

Nurse Study Desk suggestions?
Hello there, I would really like some input. I am a Sophomore and just finishing my first year in the nursing program. I have lived in the dorms both years here where I am going to school, and next year I am finally moving off campus to an apartment nearby my school with two others. I get my own room, and I really am looking to turning it into a nice, quiet, and spacious study space where I can get all my work done. My big question is (for those of you who live in apartments/houses/etc) do you have any great desk recommendations? I prefer L-shaped desks because that is what I am accustomed to. I am looking for one that is not too costly, but definitely large enough to get all the nursing work done and will also fit nicely into a room in an apartment. Thank you! I look forward to your suggestions. I appreciate it.

Dating in Nursing School
Okay, now this scenario I am going to be telling you is pretty complex so here it goes. I am in my first year of nursing school on the BSN tract and I am currently in a delema I never thought I would ever be in during my entire college experience. First of all, I have a boyfriend of 2 years, and our relationship is... interesting. He makes me happy, he is a really nice guy, but as time has gone by, it seems more of a best friend-ship rather than a relationship, and this leads to the other large part of my dilema. There is this guy in my nursing class, who I recently had to come into contact with to ask him a question about a clinical project and then we started talking back and forth and back and forth and now he sits by me in class.. and we talk rather often and I really really enjoy talking to him. He is really good looking and I feel the physical attraction to him that I do not have for my current significant other, and that sounds horrible to say, and I myself hate to say it, but I just do not know really what to do. Also, this other guy is impressively smart, friendly to seriously everyone, and he is really sweet ot me and also very funny. I am not posting on here just to complain about my delema or use this as some type of dating advice forum, I figured that you fellow nursing students would be able to give me some perspective on the situation and let me know whether or not I should ditch this weird new person that is not really "in the picture" but just in the back of my mind often, or just what I should do... Thank you. I appreciate any input anyone posts! It means a lot.
