CSUSB Fall 2013 Applicants
:) Glad I could help, Hopeful4it! I just liked the facebook page! @ Jasmic, The good news is that I have been told several times that Winter is easier to get into. That was also my plan if I didn't get in for Fall. Best of luck to you this quarter and next!!

Does anyone happen to know when we will be buying our student scrubs? At orientation? I know of the stethoscope, clipboards, and sweatshirts, but does anyone have any more information on orientation or anything?

Just try to stay positive, and make sure to stay open for contact in case a spot opens up! Nothing is set in stone yet! Best of luck to you and everyone else who is an alternate!

CSUSB Fall 2013 Applicants
@ Hopeful4it, No problem! :) They ask you to fill out & sign the bottom portion of the acceptance letter, bring that and your social security & drivers license (original and copies) into the Nursing Department office. If you don't do this by July 30th, they consider that a decline.

CSUSB Fall 2013 Applicants
Hopeful4it, I got my acceptance letter in the mail today. They're encouraging people to respond as soon as possible, but they're giving everyone until July 30th to accept. After July 30th, they will offer the remaining seats to other qualified applicants. In the mean time, if people decline their acceptance, I think they'll immediately contact alternates. That's what I got out of the letter anyways! Good luck, and I hope you get in!

CSUSB Fall 2013 Applicants
@ Hopeful4it, I just tried to send you an e-mail, but it didn't go through... I tried it three times. Anyways, THANK YOU so much for taking a picture of the list! You are awesome! I also want to wish you good luck! I think a lot of the time, alternates get in. I wouldn't be too worried just because since CSUSB gets back to people so late, a lot of people actually already accept their seat in other programs.

CSUSB Fall 2013 Applicants
Hi everyone... Good news! I called the nursing department a couple minutes ago, and the lady said the list should be up by the end of this week!! She said nothing of next week. So, hopefully we won't have to wait all weekend! If anyone else has contacted them today, let me know if they gave you the same information. Thanks!

CSUSB Fall 2013 Applicants
I'm really hoping it's the end of this week! Although the weekends go by fast, it's still a long wait since they're closed on Fridays! I'm sure they're doing their best to complete the list; I'm just so excited to find out if I got in or not!

I also called the nursing department around 11 a.m. this morning and that is the exact same thing the lady told me. She added that they were getting close to completing the list though. So I really don't know when to expect the list to be put up. Maybe she was meaning when letters go out, not the list being put up? Since we have gotten different answers from different people, I guess all we can do is just keep checking, and take all answers with a grain of salt...

I was also going to call if no one ended up stopping by the school today. Thanks for passing the information along, Hopeful4it.

@am90, Thank you so much for posting the orientation information. That's very nice of you! @Hopeful4it, I also received that email! Haha I know, when I got that e-mail it made me a little nervous, but I figured it was just sent to everyone. I'm glad you called and made sure though! @Jasmic, Thank you so much for allowing us to email you! It's really appreciated! I will probably send you an e-mail in early July so my email doesn't get lost in your inbox. Well, good luck everyone! I hope we all get good news in July!! :)

Hmm I don't know, I just looked back at the thread for Winter 2013 and the administration for this website posted something after the photo saying not to. I think this was on page 6... But even if we can't post it on here, I definitely want to hear from everyone on here who got in! Anyways, I am so excited! July is so close now!!

Hi liuyingjun! Welcome. :) I am not sure about your question. I don't believe so, but who knows! It is a long wait. I'm just trying not to be nervous about the whole thing!

Great info. on the CPR class! I will definitely be going to that if accepted! @ Hopeful4it, Hi and welcome!! :) I was also hoping someone would be able to post a picture, or list off the names of people accepted. & Thanks to Jasmic, it looks like that will happen! Though we may end up having to do that through e-mail... I don't think we are allowed to post the list on here. (Due to privacy issues.) That's what I saw on other threads anyway... Either way, I live too far to physically go look at the list. We will figure something out!

CSUSB Fall 2013 Applicants
Hi am90, Thank you so much for getting back to me. This helps me a lot! A few days ago, I went ahead and arranged it with the hope that I am able to get away for that weekend. I'm sure it'll be fine... I'll just wait and see. & yes, please still let know when you find out any info. :) I appreciate it! Thanks again!

Hi am90, I just looked at the academic calender... it says the campus is closed from the beginning of that weekend, until Tuesday. http://academicprograms.csusb.edu/documents/AY2013-2014.pdf I'm guessing if the campus is closed, no orientations or activities would be held, right? Anyway, if you could still think of any information you have, please let me know! :) Thank you!

CSUSB Fall 2013 Applicants
@ am90, Hi I was wondering if you could give me any info. on the days from when you were admitted to your actual first day... such as registering for classes, going to an orientation, or any other events that are required or you're advised to go to? I am trying to plan a trip during my birthday weekend in late august (specifically on Saturday, Aug 31), but I don't want to pay for a hotel, and make arrangements if there's a big chance I may not be able to go (if I get accepted and have other priorities!) Do you happen to remember if scheduled events like the ones I listed are during the work week or weekend? and around what date/time? Anything you say could help! Please get back to me when you have the time! Thanks!!!

@ Jesses*girl: By the way, I think those last two little sentences I wrote was some of the best advice I got when I was worrying about the TEAS. Don't be hard on yourself... I'm sure you didn't do too bad, and if you did, then there is always time for a second try!

@ Jesses*girl: Sorry for getting back to you a little late! I was enjoying my spring break, not worrying about anything! :) Anyways, I studied over my month long winter break, then another month while in physiology and microbiology, so two months total. I went through the TEAS practice book two or three times, I did some of the practice tests in the McGraw Hill book, I did both practice tests online at ATI.com, and I went through all my old Biology notes, Chemistry notes, and Anatomy notes. I studied from a LOT of different sources for the English portion, but this is because I am not the best in English rules, grammar, and "dissecting" sentences. I found that if I would take a moment to just look at the sentence or word, I could come up with the correct answer. I would say just to study what is in the ATI TEAS study book, especially for the English, reading, and math portions. The science is a bit broader and requires that you have general knowledge in the sciences. If you plan to retake it, just try to relax and not cram the night before. Go in level headed, well-rested, and confident!
