  1. My husband is an rn at ironwood. The kids and I do not live there as the schools are horrible and the area is not where I want my kiddos growing up. He lives in aa rental with another rn. They found it through someone at the prison. If we did live in the area we would live in phoenix or Palm Springs area but its a horrid commute for an 8 hour shift five days a week. The "nicer" apartments in blythe are all income control and you would not qualify on his salary. As far at ot my husband has received both voluntary and mandated overtime since he started working there six months ago
  2. I called this morning and the nurse recruiter said decisions were still being made about hiring but if I did not hear back by end of Tuesday that most likely meant I was not selected. So there is still hope they just haven't gotten to me yet.
  3. Has anyone been called yet? I interviewed for ICU on Monday afternoon and the guy seemed pretty sure I would receive a call right away but so far nothing. Just wanted to see if maybe HR hadn't started yet or what was going on. I am former active duty military officer so this job would be right up my alley. I am not from the area but my wife is. Palo Alto and surrounding is insanely expensive. If I get this then we will be moving further out and commuting on BART or other public transportation if needed (caltran goes from Bart to Palo Alto). San Jose would be a cheaper option if you do not have kids and aren't worried about school districts. Most East Bay areas are doable.
