Start from scratch or bring in old credits?
Don't you have to turn in transcripts from all colleges attend when applying? I think you'll have to turn them in. Most colleges won't transfer developmental classes or ones with below a C grade and science classes older then 5 years. At least that's what I heard. Good luck with going back to college :)

Information for a CNA and college student planning on moving to Georgia.
Thank you so much for all the help. :) That is pretty quick for an interview. Where I live now places won't even consider you until you have taken the state test. I was a little worried about the job market, but hearing this makes me feel better. I never even thought of checking the Georgia Board of Nursing site. Thank you again. :)

For those who have been called shy or quiet by your instructors
I just want to say Thank you! :) I am only a Nursing Assistant, but in all classes I have ever taken. I have always heard you are too quiet or you are too shy. In my nursing assistant class I heard it from the instructor and students. I listen in class, do my homework, and got a good grade. I talk to my residents just fine, and more important I listen to them. I like and agree with this especially "Being "quiet" makes me a great listener, an efficient and productive worker, and gives me the ability to empathize with others." I think the same thing and seeing how far you have gone gives me great hope. So yet again Thank you! :)

Information for a CNA and college student planning on moving to Georgia.
Hi! I was wondering about CNA jobs and colleges in Georgia mostly around the Atlanta area. I'm from Ohio and I am a STNA or CNA. I don't really have experience. I have attended a community college so I plan on transferring to a college down there. I and my mom plan on moving down there sometime in like a couple months for my mom's health and some personal reasons. I was wondering what the job market is like for CNA's. Some helpful job search sites or maybe even some places I could apply to. Any information about employment would be awesome. I was also wondering about colleges for nursing any information. Due to some family problems I had to take a year off from college. I'm taking a few generals as online classes I'm still pre-nursing. Any information about jobs, colleges, or anything about moving to Georgia would be great. Thank you very much. :)

STNA OR CNA??
Hi. I just wanted to add to the discussion. If the school that you are thinking of taking your STNA or CNA class (they are the same thing) doesn't do the state test. I would recommend looking into one that does. If you have started one that doesn't do the state test it's not hard to schedule it. There just can be a bit of a wait sometimes. Good luck with the class :)

Questions about getting into cscc nursing program.
So do you think I should look into a different program? Isthere a program you recommend? Do you think the problems you had were due to the switchto semesters, or just faults with the program? I want to get my BSN, but I was trying to save money by going to cscc. Thanks for all your help. I'm sorry you had difficulties with your program.

Questions about getting into cscc nursing program.
Thank you. I hear it is a good program, and money wise it probably would be the best one for me. Did you have to attend a nursing information session to obtain an application packet? And submit the written application packet during an application period or did they do it online when you applied? I know they did do them online but now I guess not.

Questions about getting into cscc nursing program.
My other post was meant as a reply to Insjes I'm new to this site :) @HearNursing3 Well I ask about the program and I was told it was very ]competitive.I was told there were 425 applications given out for about 100 seats. (for this up coming application period for spring 2013) Students are ranked by GPA and their A2 Test scores. Additionally, those who have more classes done beyond the Admissions Criteria have a better chance. I'm a little worried with that many people applying I won't get in when I do apply. The online program is for those with bachelors degree's I don't have a previous degree. I'm not really sure how to do a PM as I said I'm new to the site sorry.

Questions about getting into cscc nursing program.
Yeah that's true. I've looked into several programs and it seems if you don't want to wait you have to pay more. Plus the less money ones are very competitive. I really don't like the thought of waiting, so I'm checking into other options. Thank you. :)

Questions about getting into cscc nursing program.
Thank you for the information. :) That's great your parents are helping you. I'm kind of on my own paying for it my mom doesn't have the means to help me. I just don't like the waiting at the less expensive programs, but some really are expensive. I'll look into it and see which is best for me. Good luck to you. :)

Questions about getting into cscc nursing program.
Well I'm on financial aid and I don't know if I could cover all the cost with that or not. I don't know much about financial aid, but I can't afford much out of pocket costs. Do you know if Chamberlain is hard to get into? Thank you for your reply without waiting it might be worth checking into. :)

Questions about getting into cscc nursing program.
I was wondering about Columbus State Community College (cscc) gpa requirement. They say the minimum gpa requirement is 2.6. But to be accepted do you have to have a higher one? I was also wondering about the nursing program. What is it like? I haven't really heard anything about it. I only have two classes I need to complete, but I have to wait until next time they accept applications to apply. Then wait a year if I get accepted. I would try another college, but I don't know of any other one. If anyone knows of another one without so much waiting please let me know. Thanks for any help or advice. :)
