  1. Oh good luck. I have not even applied yet. I keep going back and forth if I should or not. Then I also do not know if I would do the clinical nurse specialist parent-child or go for the np. What did you chose? If the program wasnt so much group work I would sign up quicker but I am debating the stress of the group and study group leader tasks from the BSN program there.
  2. I have been doing that. Most our patients have lines so we do not do IVs much.
  3. Hi, Has anyone taken an IV certification class or IV class just because? I do not want to be an IV nurse for my hospital or a PICC line nurse. I just want to be able to do IVs well and learn good technique, tricks or whatever. I have searched for a few in So Cal but it seems expensive. My hospital does not offer a class or special training for it. Practice isnt helping me.
  4. Hi, I want a buddy to start with together....I took the BSN online program through CSUDH and finished a few years ago. I kind of wish I went back shortly after for MSN. I really do not want to go back to school but I need a change and I am noticing more jobs and nursing things requiring or preferring MSN. I said I am done with school but now I am like what if in a few years or ten I will think I should have done it back then. So I am thinking of applying but wondered if anyone else is? I know how that school is because of the BSN program and its lots of group work online, that was my main stress lol, and clinicals set up by yourself and just a few visits to the actual campus. I know we probably wouldnt end up in the same class or same group but it would be nice to have a buddy to discuss, work on school, stress together. Im extreme so its either Im going to take one class per semester and take years or just go in as full as one can handle. I work really hard when I am in school, hopefully you do too. Reply or email me (if this site lets you email?). I live in the San Fernando Valley area, hopefully you are near by LA area? Im late 20s, female. If any of that matters, I dont care tho. Thanks

  6. Possibly. I just do not want to go alone, safety reasons and I do not know people in other states.
  7. Hi, I would really like to find a Southern California RN like myself, Los Angeles and surrounding areas (I posted in CA section too). If we know each other before it may go better knowing who we are going with and not alone. This is starting completely from the beginning: researching agencies, applying, moving, going, and so on. Connected at the hip basically, I live alone and am independent so it will not be that bad lol. I am just unsure of going alone, whether lost on how to begin or scared. I am also more quiet and shy so I don't want to end up all alone in new place just counting down the assignment. We can be adventurerers together too. I would prefer a travel buddy similar to myself: first timers, female, 27-early 30s, female, no kids or attachments holding me back here, straight (I don't care if you are), so much more we can talk about. I have my BSN and have been working for almost seven years. I am not sure if I am burnt out or just looking for more in this career. Anybody in this situation like me? This is my last attempt at starting this whole traveling thing, I think =(. Let me know.
