  1. Do I have to change my major if I want to be a medical assistant before an RN? My major is nursing, but there is a medical assisting program at my college I want to take. Would I have to change my major?
  2. I'm barely 18 & I took the college placement and I received a 79% on reading and they excused me from the highest reading class at the community college. That's one class off of my requirements to get into nursing school. Do you think I will be ok if I get a B in most of my classes and some A's? The gpa requirement is 2.5 and above to get into nursing but I'm worried about the 79% grade.
  3. My college has 2 plans. Plan A is for students preparing for a vocational career. Plan B is for students that want to transfer to a 4 yr university. Could I actually do Plan B but also apply to a 2 yr nursing program. I want an ADN first. Then a BSN.
  4. My college offers an associates in arts degree - Nursing. Could I take the NCLEX with that degree? No where do I see an associates in science degree - Nursing
  5. My community college only offers an A.A in nursing instead of an A.S. What is the difference by these?
  6. Thank you! very informative! I have another question. If I am an RN & want to take the RN TO BSN program, would I need to apply to a university and go back to community college to meet the requirements to get into a university with a BSN program?
  7. I will be going to a community college & I want to get an ADN first, then a BSN. Does that mean I need to be a transfer student? My major is Nursing AA. My goal is AA& no transfer. Do I change it to AA & transfer? Would it matter?
