UPDATE: Currently in the pedi/ob section of the curriculum. I would say that the toughest part was the transition class over the summer. Currently we only come to class for pedi every other week(traditional ) and others every two weeks(hybrid) . Ob class provides a test review (which is a GODSEND ) every two weeks. We have a few community service hours we have to perform (11-pedi, 16-ob) . Otherwise I can see no complaints?. I will update as the semester goes on. TTYL

Just an update on the transition program this summer. I would DEFINATELY say be prepared to learn " new study techniques" . This first 3 weeks was mainly our instructors trying to demonstrate how to study for the different types of test in the program. You mainly focus you reading on Patho, clinical manifestations, Collaborative care and nursing management. This is ENTIRELY different from the LVN program if you took it at TJC. There is no BLUEPRINT (which I expected) . To put it perspective, 8 students attempted to voice or concerns with 54 out of 58 students failing and there was no help besides "well..." . And coming from an all A background , it's pretty ridiculous. Other than testing frustration, the class is easy . I'm taking my last exam in 1 week and PRAY I can pull it off . But I would not be surprised to see only 6 students go on to the third level. - severely frustrated nursing student
