  1. I just got an email from the departmen. They are moving it to blackboard instead of mydouglas and are having issues but it will be ready soon.
  2. My overal score was 12/20 and it took at least 6 weeks for mine to be posted
  3. Yeah I had to take one online course in my care aide program and I said never again! It's so hard to motivate yourself to do it. I might just schedule it like its a real class and give myself specific times every week to work on it so I don't procrastinate.
  4. So... I ended up taking Spanish haha it said any 3 credit UT course so I figured it would be a good way to boost my GPA.
  5. Yeah I was really annoyed the Phil course is online I prefer having to be held accountable in a classroom instead left to my own devices! I was thinking of taking sociology for my elective I heard its pretty interesting and not to difficult?
  6. Is anyone taking their electives this semester? I don't know what to take and the advisors office was swamped today without even a sign up sheet so I didn't even bother. I don't know where to start!
  7. English 1130 023 Psych 1100 001 Biol 1103 001 And online Phil .. When I tried to register for math it wouldnt let me! It said I don't have the pre requisite (math 11 with a B) but I have math 11 with a B+ so I wasn't able to get into that one. I emailed someone and am gonna make some phone calls on Monday to fix it. Anyone have the same classes? And did anyone else have this problem with math?
  8. Registration in 20 minutes! I have my schedule all pre-planned! So Stoked!
  9. Ive already taken BIO but I think I am going to take it again because my teacher for term 1 was really horrible and I feel like I didn't learn enough so I will just use it as a GPA booster haha! Yeah I was surprised about year 1 I had it in my head for some reason it would be mon-fri all day psych nursing classes not just generic first year uni classes... Im happy though because I think I will be able to still work on evenings/weekends a bit.
  10. I just went to my doctor and we filled it out together pretty quickly because he knew all my history he only charged me about $60 but I think it depends on your doctor and how much they charge.. I'm a bit confused about registration I did a pre registration to see what my schedule would be like and all the classes are only like 2-3 hours a week? I thought it would be kind of like full days but I guess the first year is more the generic 1st year uni courses?
  11. Hey sorry Ive been having issues with this thing not notifying me of new posts! My blood tests took less than a week to get the results sent to my doctor and they mailed them to the school the same day. Luckily all my shots were up to date except one booster shot which they gave me and faxed over a doctors note to the school. Now everything is in and I am planning my courses I cant believe registration is only a few weeks away its crazy! Does anyone know what we are supposed to take for our elective? And congratulations concretegold!!!!
  12. Ok so I won't be the only one spending hours commuting! I just got all my medical/immunization forms and deposit submitted so I guess that means I am good to go now...No turning back!
  13. I emailed the admissions officer and told him I was waiting on blood test results to come back for my immunizations so he gave me another week! I'm going tomorrow to give my deposit and criminal record cheque! Is everyone who was accepted so far living in coquitlam? I'm in Vancouver but planning on moving to New West to cut down commuting time.
  14. That's really close I'm sure you will get a spot soon! I only have till may 15 to get all my stuff in to them but I had to get a blood test for my immunization records so it's going to be so close! I'm so scared I will lose my spot!
  15. Concrete gold how many points do you have? There will be People changing their mind or circumstances change and they can't do it anymore so keep checking!
  16. Hey everyone! For some reason I stopped receiving email notifications about the thread so I thought everyone had stopped talking in the thread! I just got my acceptance letter on April 25! I had given up and stopped checking my application but I guess 12 points was enough:) Anyone else hear any news? I am a 23 year old female and I work in Vancouver as a resident care attendant in group homes. Also my deadline for documents in May 12 so there will probably be another round of acceptances sent out after that.
  17. Oh my god congratulations!!!!! You must be bouncing off the walls!! How many points did you have?
  18. I'm starting to worry that I haven't heard anything yet. I check my application status everyday and it still says "ready for preferential review" and I have gotten nothing in the mail... Anyone else stalking there application status online?
  19. Yeah that would be cool if we both got in then we would be halfway familiar with eachother haha
  20. I know me too I think I really need something good to happen to me soon life has been totally screwing me the last few weeks so I think I'm due for good news haha!
  21. Yeah definitely do that! I did the same thing for part two of it and ended up with an amazing teacher! Also, I don't know your Learning style but I highly recommend making lots and lots of flashcards I don't know what I would have done without them!
  22. I heard psychology is pretty easy. And yeah it was nice of him to boost our marks but he did it to cover the fact that he wasn't teaching! He used class time to give us his opinions about life and talk about politics and go on these long tangents about random facts. Alot of people ended up withdrawing from his class because they got so sick of it. But my teacher for part 2 was so thorough and amazing I loved it.
  23. I didn't know you could take the first year courses before you were accepted! That would make life alot easier! The only course i have taken is anatomy and physiology but I didn't apply for credit transfer because I want to retake it. I figure since I already took it I can use that to my advantage to boost my GPA and to be honest the teacher I had for part one of it was horrible he didn't care what our grades were and would just add 10% to all our tests so his class average looked better.
  24. It was pretty intense. When I took it I didn't take any other courses that semester because I heard how much information it is to take in. I was spending about 3-5 hours a day studying and ended up with a B. The thing about it is you really have to put time into studying because it's so easy to fall behind and then all the information will pile up on you but it was really interesting!
