  1. Lol thanks for the input. Yea I kind of figured having to prioritize things and cut back on some of them. For me asides from school my family and gym time are both important to me. The gym is a huge stress reliever and my girlfriend and I have a 7 month old daughter at the moment and I definitely don't want to miss any of the precious moments with her. With my schedule I'll be doing something similar to you and hitting the workouts early in the morning before work and school work/family time to the evenings. Thanks again :)
  2. Anyone have any experience working full time while raising a family in the part time generic program and still finding time to get to the gym or working out period. If so any tips on how to manage the time without sacrificing anything. I am thinking of hitting early 6 am gym sessions since I work 9:30 to 5 pm the days I have class and 9:30 to 6 on the days I don't M-F.
  3. I have been dealing with the same issues with phaint. We both went and took the test only to be told it was cancelled. Since yesterday we have both been back and forth with the school. Finally after speaking with someone in the department itself they said part time was only offered for the transition program and the part time was only offered once a year in Aug. That information seemed odd because I remember reading off the website that there was two terms to apply. So as of 5:13pm I am back on the phone with them waiting on a response.
  4. For those of you who have not yet been informed as of two to three weeks ago MDC has temporarily cancelled its part time program for this coming jan. All other programs are still being offered, however if you were planning on registering it is no longer a option. I spoke with counselors at 5:32 p.m. today and that was the information given to me. Also that information was given to me after taking the current teas v test which also happens to be on the way out with NLN PAX replacing it for all applications being submitted for the aug 14 programs. This comes to me as a surprise especially after speaking with a individual who phoned the head of the generic department and I quote "I was not aware of our part time program being cancelled for this coming January but I guess they know more downstairs than we do. Speak with the head advisor to see how they can help you" Best of luck to everyone out there applying.
  5. Yea I dropped after deadlines so a W would show. But I'm keeping my eyes open for schools....I may have found one but its a good hour and some away. However if that's what it takes so be it. Now crossing my fingers.
  6. Yea that's something I am hoping to find in a school. Atm MDC and BCC are not forgiving so I am looking around still
  7. From what I have experienced so far the past does bite you back just not sure how far back...mine was between 2-8 yrs ago...
  8. Yea I had thought about the approach you took also with earning a diff degree and coming back to it. My issue isn't so much the grades but the drops. My overall gpa is 3.03 my sciences gpa is 3.2 with A&P 1 A in lec B in lab, A&P 2 lec B with a C in lab, MicroBio lec was an A. Just missing the chem lec which stands to be my only F with a C in the lab. Thank you for your time it has opened up some hope :)
  9. So I was wondering if anyone has ever dropped multiple natural science classes and still found themselves a school that has accepted their applications. From what I see most schools do not accept applicants with multiple drops. I made the mistake when I was younger of taking classes just to keep my parents insurance and had a rough time figuring out a career and made mistakes while figuring it out and seems like now after learning and maturing I see little to no options as a start. Has anyone else gone through something similar and found schools willing to work with them. I live in south florida and have been looking at the schools down here but I also started looking out of state. Any feed back is appreciated thank you.
