  1. For med surg I make charts... etiolology/patho clinical manifestation treatments for patho I recommend making patho maps or Google image search patho maps. Usually one thing leads to two things and each of those two things can lead to one thing. ect. All being affected by the interventions. is this a prereq?
  2. While sitting in the break room ... working on some charting, I was asked by a tech what I was a student of ... I told them nursing and they asked RN? I responded with a polite and cheerful yes. she than told me ... they (CNAs) do all the work ... the nurses mostly do nothing... "all they do is pass meds" and that in turn their attitude was not justifiable.... as a nursing student all I said was... my friend is a tech and I hear it is a lot of work.... and I bet you he nurses appreciate all you do for them... their job is hard too. It is mentally and physically taxing. They have patients in their care and it is their responsibility to maintain their stability or stabilize them. Did I say the OK thing?
  3. Fundamentals .... so dry. LOVE MEDSURG/PATHO SO FAR[=
  4. Why were you expecting to obtain HIGHER grades? Did you believe nursing school would be easy in comparison to a psych degree? LOL. (: welcome to nursing.
  5. I am extremely frustrated that we are to create a plan of care without any assessment data. The labs and H&P simply dont give enough info to come up with 3 actual 2 risks 1 readiness. Please Help. I have elevated WBC. congestion. SOB. Elevated glucose. CT shows atelectasis. O2 is super normal @ 99% breaths are 20. pt is none smoker. Diagnosis is: chronic bronchitis and COPD. I have NO assessments to make a proper cp... what do I do? I often can wing it somehow but ... especially to those instructors ... please advice me on what to do.
