  1. Hi Nephron19 - I am also relocating to Melbourne sometime in the next year - marrying my NZ boyfriend who lives there....I have not started the process to register in OZ yet, but am about to enter that nightmare! Did I see in another post that you worked in Michigan? I work in Ann Arbor at U of M Hospital. Teresa
  2. Thank you, Bama RN! Could reply via google mail only! Thanks!!
  3. Hi Bama Rn - Congrats on your registration and move to New Zealand! I am so envious! Would so love to live in NZ! My boyfriend is from Auckland, but lives in Melbourne so that is where I will be moving from Michigan. Like many others here, I am also about to start "walking the Green Mile" toward Australian registration! I am an ADN-RN with 6 years OR Theatre experience at a large Level 1 Trauma university hospital in the midwest. I'm a bit worried I won't be approved with only an ADN, though. Are you a BSN or ADN RN? Also, we do NOT have to take the English-language exam, correct? Cheers, Teresa
  4. Hi bittybritty - I am also an American RN - moving to Melbourne in the coming year to be with my boyfriend. I have not started the process to register with AHPRA yet - dreading it! I am an ADN RN...not BSN, and I am still unsure if I can work in Australia as a Registerd Nurse (versus an Enrolled Nurse) with that degree. I do not want to bother to apply for Australian registration if they will not recognize me as an RN there. I see you mentioned you are working on your BSN - Congrats! Were you not able to work as an RN there with only an ADN? Would love to talk to you about it! Cheers! Teresa
