  1. I GOT IN!!! :0 :) See all of you lovely ladies at orientation July 22nd!!
  2. I started a thread a while ago about CCC's fall nursing program, and one of the people posted that she emailed the nursing department about how long we should wait for a response, and she said it was about was a 6 week wait from the application deadline...soooo that makes it next week we should begin hearing something. Yall post if you got in or not; I would love to see you there!
  3. UGHHH! I can't believe we have to wait another week! I've had my stomach tied in knots over this since February, and my mom won't leave me alone about it. Seriously, she calls every day asking if I've heard anything yet. Is this a mother thing or a mother-who-is-a-nurse-and-can't-wait-for-her-grown-daughter-to-get-her-life-on-track-and-finally-get-a-degree-which-just-so-happens-to-be-nursing thing??
  4. My family is getting sick of me obsessing over it too! My mom has been breathing down my neck about it since I applied in February! I hope I get in just so I don't have to listen to that anymore (and vice versa).
  5. My last name starts with 'P' so I'm looking at mid-July if that alphabetical pattern holds true for this year. I've heard from someone else that they got their letter around June 19th last year too, and their last name began with 'B'. I wonder, if I don't make it into the program, would they let me know earlier rather than wait until freakin' July? Then again, it IS Calhoun...
  6. I've been going bonkers since I applied in February trying to figure out when they'll send out letters. I guess any day now we should know. The only bad thing about waiting so long, besides the stomach ulcers, is that somewhere in-between me applying and now, I've decided that biology is more of my calling than nursing. I applied for the part-time program in order to double-major, but since there's no real way to know the clinical rotation schedules until practically the week before you walk into the hospital, I'm having severe doubts that I'll be able to achieve both goals. So, I can either take Calculus now or wait for 2 years. This is NOT a fun wait.
  7. Update: Turns out for the GPA, they only look at the last 24 credit hours. My GPA then should be a 3.2 (yay) after busting my butt to make A's in the Spring semester. My TEAS score was an 80, and I've already gone ahead and taken all of the required courses, not just the A&Ps and Micro and Math110. My total score should be 172, but of course this isn't a guarantee that I'll be selected for the part-time program. The minimum entrance score changes every year, and I've heard so many contradicting rumors about lowest acceptable scores that it's almost pointless to ask anymore. I guess all I can do is cross my fingers and wait for my letter. :/
  8. I'm going insane waiting on a response to my application. Any current applicants or previous Calhoun nursing students reading this, how many points did you have? What was your GPA? I'm so nervous that my GPA is too low (it's a 2.75; I forgot to withdraw out of a class), so I'm trying to see what anyone else has so I don't go bonkers while waiting for a response. I know it's really difficult to get accepted the first time.
