Hi everyone, I am hoping to go to Seneca or Georgian in January 2014 for the part-time Practical Nursing Diploma. I'm 31, have a degree in Psychology and a post-degree certificate in Grief & Bereavement studies. I have been working in a completely unrelated field for nearly 12 years now. I like my job and the flexibility it provides (I work two days from home) but now that my young daughter is getting a little older and starting school in the fall, I am looking to go back to school to hopefully get the education necessary to change my career to nursing. I'm currently arranging to take the science pre-requisites through ILC. (I focused more on the social sciences in high school). Excited to get "on the road", so to speak, but nervous as well. :) After obtaining my RPN I'm hoping to attend one of the part-time bridging RPN to BScN programs. :) One step at a time, though!! So nice to "meet" all of you!
