Libby1987 Thank you For this insight, I went to interview yesterday and the interveiwers were very open about what to expect as far as hours worked, scheduling curveballs and I feel like they really wanted me to realize this could actually be a difficult transition for me. I am supposed to shadow another RN next week. Holding my final thoughts until then. :)

Hi angiegirl30 I was just wondering how the HH job was coming along. I to am located in ohio and have 2 interviews lined up with HHC companies. Was wondering would you have any advise to pass along? Thank Jazzymama76

Hello Everyone I am wondering if I can get some input. I have 2 interviews lined up for different HHC companies this coming week. 1st position is salary M-F 8-4:30pm, have not been told much else about position. 2nd position is weekends only, no on call- possible full time with benefits- not guaranteed as of yet. My questions are this what kind of pay should I expect with salary- will it include mileage? should I expect there to be an on call requirement? Any opinion on salary versus hourly would be greatly appreciated. I have worked in hospital since I became a nurse in 2013 and know that HHC will be very different. My biggest concern with switching is pay and benefits. Thanks uin advance for any input.

@redruby the learning ext is a great site for nclex questions and while I did a breif reveiw of the first 6 lessons the majority of what I did with that site was answer the practice quiz questions. this will really help you and yes the nclex 3500 is the best one's i've found for free nclex content. I have two friend who only used that 3500 and there school books for reveiw and both passed the first time.

Hi Redruby I was just like you the first time I took the NCLEX. I used pretty much the same materials you are using but didn't feel like I was getting it. Still I insisted on sitting for my exam as soon as I got my ATT and low and behold i did fail. Since then I have been using www.learningext.com and NCLEX 3500. I take my exam again May 22nd and now feel confident that I will pass. My advice to you----- use suanders for brushing up on content ( if you have the disc use it, listen to the audio's even if you think you know it) Nclex 3500 you just use google to find it ( if it's not working just try again in a few minutes it will work) It's free and the questions are very close to the nclex questions. If you decide to pay for the learningext site it is well worth your money, I would recommedn doing the pretetst and work on your week areas first also there are quizes at the bottom 20 questions a peice like 8 or 10 quizzes per section do some of those quizzes each day, the questions are truly the kinds of questions you will see on the nclex. Third set aside 2-4 hours a day specificly for studying and test questions, make sure you take breaks every 30 min's to an hour. And last but not least relax be pruod of yourself you made it through nursing school you can pass this test, ALWAYS ALWAYS STAY POSITIVE AND GOOD LUCK

I geuss i'm like many of you on here I took my nclex for the first time and failed. I had the ATI virtual reveiw (which sucks by the way) and I have been using sauders nclex rn comprehensive reveiw( which I like). My question is this has anyone used sauders and hurst together and did you feel that was helpful. As for kaplin i saw someone say it was 399.00, I cant afford that, so is there a certain kaplin book with cd I can get that would work just as well. I think I will cantinue to use my sauders for reveiw content but I also think I need something fresh

You say you did the davis reveiw and the kaplin reveiw if you had to choose only one which one would you choose.
