  1. I never took a class at Folsom Hall before starting the nursing program, so I do not know what it feels like from the outside. I am sorry if we have been rude to you both! Please don't let that discourage you. I can say that, from my experience in the nursing program, there are a lot of second degree and second career nursing students, and while you may not get along with everyone in your cohort, once you begin there is definitely going to be bonding with your fellow first semester nursing students as you try to adjust and figure everything out. There will also probably be plenty of others who want to do study groups, and there is a lot of socializing if you hang out at Folsom Hall between or after classes. Good luck with your application!
  2. I am pretty happy about no extra pharm course! Too bad the changes delayed the schedule, but definitely worth it.
  3. I am not a second bachelors so I cannot help, but maybe you would have a better shot at getting an answer in the facebook group? Sorry I can't be more help.
  4. Just thought I would pop in to let anyone on the waitlist know that I just declined a spot. You are already a spot closer! I am guessing there are a decent amount of others like me, who have already decided to attend elsewhere. Good luck!! Also, congratulations to everyone admitted!
  5. Good thinking scwolf. That will make things easier. There are more "Christine Barham"s on Facebook than I would have guessed lol.
  6. Congratulations christine01028! I am definitely jealous of your Hawaii trip... If you PM me your Facebook name or email I can try to invite you to the group. I see something to do that on the page, though I have not tried it before.
  7. Hi! I am pretty sure health insurance is required. This link might be helpful: ASI Health Insurance - Student Health Center - Sacramento State
  8. Thank you VintageSwagger! I love all this information today, because I am feeling rather clueless about everything...
  9. Thank you Nurseinthemaking20, that was very helpful! Now I can plan to study some medical terminology over the summer. I will be interested to see what happens with pharmacology, because I am planning on taking it in the Fall.
  10. Thank you! Maybe if everyone goes to fb and then adds "/groups/142312835955474/" to the url that will work? Also, I believe you need an account to view the page. Sorry Mommato3crazies.
  11. Should we be using the same search terms? I am not getting any results for it now. Also, thank you for all this effort!
  12. scwolf- I see a community page, but no group page. I think as long as the group isn't secret, the group itself should be visible to everyone. maybe there was a glitch and the group was never actually created?
  13. YAY!!!! I am in as well! Congratulations everyone!!!!! I am excited to see if any of us will be in clinicals together as well, but that is a ways away, and for now we all get to celebrate!
  14. Update #2 emailed out! We won't get our admissions details on the 30th, but at least we have some details on the points, and it isn't too much longer of a wait.
  15. Oh goodness. Four more days. I feel like I should be chanting it! I am sorry to hear you have had a tough time recently Nurseinthemaking20, but I am hopeful that good news is on the way, and we will have some really ecstatic days in front of us. Four more days!
  16. Oh, I am definitely obsessing. I have been trying pretty hard to distract myself, and stop checking for updates, but at this point I think it is impossible. At least we are less than a month away from knowing!
  17. Wow, lots of activity today. This talk about competition is making me nervous! I am going to try to be positive and hope the trend continues though. At least until it gets closer to finding out the decision and I start really freaking out...
  18. Got an email about university acceptance today. Now I don't know if I should do the ITE early to be able to register for the mandatory registration earlier in hopes that I get accepted, or wait to be sure before paying for orientation... I guess I have a while to figure it out though. Also, I found the link that gives me hope for late April: http://www.csus.edu/HHS/NRS/programs/undergraduate/Traditional/Docs/clin_nurs_app_timeline_1-31-13.pdf It does specifically say it is tentative though, so I am just being hopeful that they won't keep me waiting even longer...
  19. I believe late April is the ideal, but it can be delayed. I understand your concern, lakerfan510, because I have applied to multiple CSU campuses, and some require non-refundable deposits with the ITE. It would be nice to know decisions before having to put down a deposit at other campuses. I also don't want to have to wait any extra time!
  20. I don't think they sent an email to anyone. Everyone had to check their application status. Hopefully we will get some type of email or mail with more information later. I believe we are waiting until the end of April for the school of nursing... Almost two months!
  21. I received the same email, and it at least saved me from checking all day until 4. Still no admission decision though, so I get to obsess now...
  22. Exactly! Everyone has been laughing at me for all my obsessing, but this is such a huge thing, I think some obsessing is appropriate.
  23. wanisai- I know! I will probably start checking at midnight Friday, and then every minute following!, lol michelle_13- We are all nervous! In my obsessive searching for more information I came across this pdf from Spring 2012, with potential weekly schedules for different sections the first semester. It is not as good an answer as you could get from a current student, but I think it is better than nothing, so I thought I would share. http://www.csus.edu/hhs/nrs-archive/undergraduate/traditional/BSNOrientation/docs/2012_spring_class_schedule_5.pdf
  24. critter55- I am with you, about taking any of the programs. As much as I want Sac, just getting into a program is the main thing! ElliotPB- That is what my ATI account shows as well. Hopefully that means we both did it right.
  25. Why can't we just be accepted and starting the nursing program already, so we can stop worrying?! We need a fast forward button... Good luck on your exam Nurseinthemaking20!
