  2. I'm going to NYU in Sept. How do you like Columbia? HAve you talked to any newly graduated nurses? Hope it's going well!
  3. I am a nursing student about to begin an accelerated nursing program in NYC. I am wondering if any Nurse Practitioners in New York City could tell me what hospitals in the city use NPs. Are there certain hospitals that use NPs more than PAs or vice versa? Do you think it is hard to find a job as an NP in the city? Could you also tell me what your jobs is like and what your specific duties are in relation to the physician you are working with? I know I havent even begun undergrad but I am just interested for the future. Thanks!!
  4. So who is going to the June 23 orientation? Who is going to July 12?? Do the people going to the June 23 one want to meet up at some point? I think it'd be great to meet some of you!! 7. Yea I agree that the dorms at NYU are very nice. WAter Street is actually really nice just too far from everything. Mission, I have a qw: ARe the people in your prereq classes older or just out of college? Just curious to see the age groups of people entering the second degree programs..
  8. that's so great you will be there with us!! I missed Columbia's deadline as well but I've heard this program is good...have you heard anything about it?? Okay well just wanted to say hello and PM me if you want to chat more about it
  9. Hi, I am going to NYU's 15 month accelerated program in the Fall too!! I am so happy to finally hear that someone else going to this program. I hadn't heard anything so I was beginning to wonder. I graduated from college last year and have been home in Connecticut taking the prereqs, so I am really excited to start as well. I do know that there are around 85 people in the accelerated part of the program. I spoke with the coordinator and she told me that we are mixed in with the undergraduates in classes. That is so great that you are coming back to New York!! At least you will be familiar with the school! Well I just wanted to say hello and I am glad to finally talk to someone else that is doing this :)
