  1. I can also attest to the challenging nature of the interview. I'm a pediatric CICU nurse and I expected at least a few clinical questions. The first few questions were what I expected. Then, of course, they throw that curveball of a question, which I did my utmost best to answer as rationally as possible. But again, it did catch me off guard... at first, it seemed simple enough, then the follow up questions to that same question got me a bit flustered. At the end of the interview, I thought I did quite badly. I couldn't get a read on the panel as to whether they were satisfied with my responses. It was overall slightly unnerving. I guess I'll find out how badly I did in the next several weeks!
  2. For those who've already interviewed, how was the experience?
  3. I got Duke's Anesthesia Secrets. It has a lot of good questions and answers about pretty much almost anything and everything clinical-related.
  4. Me too. I'm scheduled for November 18.
  5. I just got an email for an interview!
  6. Mine's also been under faculty review for weeks. Making me so nervous...
  7. Anybody hear back from them yet? I'm not sure when they will start notifying us about interviews.
  8. Mine changed from “Under Review” to “Under Faculty Review” as of yesterday. One step closer to (maybe?) an interview. I wonder when they’ll start calling.
  9. I submitted my application yesterday. Crossing my fingers!
  10. I'd like to wear those types of scrubs--Scooby Doo, superhero characters, comic book characters--but I'm having trouble finding them. I checked a few websites but all they have are two or three prints, one of which I thought might look good.
  11. Hi everyone! I'm about to start my first nursing job at the Children's Hospital as a Pediatric RN. When I had my clinical rotations there, I didn't see any male nurses in my unit (although I know that several do work there), so I only saw female nurses wearing all sorts of scrubs, from pink to polka dots to cartoon characters. I wanted to know if other fellow male nurses working in pediatrics wear neutral-/solid-colored scrubs or wear scrubs with prints and a bit more color.
