  1. Thanks for the response. Luckily, I have all my prereqs done for then RN and LPN programs at Ivy Tech. I chose Medtech so I didn't have to compete and wait. I'm older and don't necessarily want to wait so long. I will not be taking to offer to transfer to Harrison. Those people came today and tried to candy coat everything. I don't trust any of them at this point. I don't really feel I got scammed, as all loan debt will be wiped clean, but I have wasted 8 months which is what I was trying to avoid in the first place...ugh.
  2. I agree, I just don't think it's necessarily a job for men. They tend to focus on skills (and rock at them), but don't usually have the comforting bedside manner that associate with a female nurse.
  3. I do not find male nurses attractive. I was married to a man who became one and we divorced shortly after. I would not mind a male nurse taking care of me because most male nurses focus more on the technique than the emotional side of it, but I would never find one attractive. I grew up with a father that was a brick mason, my brother is a brick mason, the other brother is a surveyor. I just consider a man that works inside feminine.
  4. Hi everyone. I am currently a student of MedTech college in Greenwood IN. I learned today that the school will be closing at the end of this quarter, even though the president of the school came and assured us last month that we would not be affected by some recent changes in regards to the Washington d.c., Richmond, Va., and Maryland campuses being shut down. This is so unnerving, especially since I'm almost done with the 3rd quarter out of 5 quarters. As I understand it, the DON and several instructors were fired today. Some were offered positions at Harrison, and Harrison will be on campus tomorrow trying to recruit us. I do not want to have to retake classes, but I also dont want to pay premium price for a substandard education (which is how I feel attending MedTech). Does anyone have any good suggestions for a good program that I will not have to compete to get into here in the Indianapolis area?
  5. Thank you for this encouraging post.
