How do you study again??
Hi! I'm really excited for you! I honestly can't get all the reading done. Some students can, but I just can't. I fall asleep every time. I read my book's chapter summary and thankfully my professors give us the slides the afternoon before. I read over the slides and see if there's anything that I don't understand. I then go to lecture, PAY ATTENTION, and write notes! I try to go over my notes after class by writing everything over. (Currently trying to find a good format for my diseases/disorders!) then I go in the next day with any questions Hope that helps! Good luck!

How do you study again??
Thank you! I actually just made a schedule that has a to do list for each week attached to do just that. I'm also a morning person, so I'm going to work on things in the AM. Best of luck for your semester!

How do you study again??
Hi everyone!! I successfully completed my first semester of nursing school last month! It was a long road, but I am so happy with my accomplishment! I'm starting semester 2 of 4 next week and as I'm getting myself together (writing down all due dates and exam dates in my planner, printing out calendars, and weekly to do list mock up) I'm feeling uneasy about the next semester. I still feel like I haven't grasped studying for nursing school completely. I think it's because I work slow that makes me feel like I'm also kind of rushing to get stuff done. I have a friend that somehow manages to get her stuff down and has down time to relax and I don't feel like I ever have that. Any tips? Ideally, I'd like to be able to go over material prior to class so that when I'm there I'm not learning it for the first time (that happened often my first semester), Manage my time better (so I can take those much needed breaks), and just feel more comfortable!

accepted into becker college!
I apologize! That is what I heard when I was at my uni and just wanted to pass on information. Didn't mean to upset you, if I did. Good luck!

accepted into becker college!
Hey! I didn't go to Becker, but I did take an A&P course there because my Uni didn't have it. I just wanted to tell you that Becker is no longer an accredited nursing institution. When applying to nursing schools the one thing everyone told me is to make sure that they are accredited. During my time at uni they were about to lose their accreditation. Accreditation is important because apparently it can hold you back in your nursing career. Not exactly sure why, I just looked for schools that have CCNE/AACN accreditation during my application process. Good luck!

Be honest! ABSN MCPHS Worcester fall 2015
I tried to PM you, but I haven't created enough threads to enable that activity. Lame! But, what are you study tips that you've been using? I am a visual learner so I will definitely be using the concept maps to my full advantage. What other tips can you give? Also, I think like all people in nursing school you want to pass and move on, but you're also terrified of being that person that drops out. What are you doing to combat this fear? I'm just so nervous! How are you staying organized and managing your time? How do you know how much time to spend on one subject vs the others? Lots of questions! But I just want to get myself mentally prepared!

Be honest! ABSN MCPHS Worcester fall 2015
Congrats to you too and thanks! Yeah I've definitely read mixed reviews about the school. I'm still trying to figure out if those reviews pertain to the Worcester campus or the Boston campus. I was on another site and the Boston campus was trashed about its nursing program. I haven't received my aid yet. I actually just heard about my acceptance this morning!

Be honest! ABSN MCPHS Worcester fall 2015
Hi everyone! I was just accepted fall 2015 ABSN class at MCPHS Worcester. I'm really considering the school. It's not far from where I did my undergrad so I'm familiar with the area and such. And the tuition is cheaper than the other schools that I am considering. I would really like to get honest opinions about the school before I accept. I'm already doing my own research on the school's website, here on all nurses, and I am getting in contact with alum (hopefully) with the help of the school. What did you think about the school? The professors? The structure of the program? I've heard about front-loading, but I'm still a bit confused. what was the best method to study for exams? Anything that you'll be willing to tell me, I will take it! Thanks in in advance everyone!

Declined admission!!! Please help!
Hello everyone, I am a college grad with a low GPA (2.7) and I want to be a nurse. I applied to ABSN programs and was unfortunately denied. I started to retake courses to make my application more competitive when I reapply. However, I was told by a school that would not help me into their school. what should I do? Should I start from scratch and go to nursing school for 4 years? What options do I have?

Accelerated BSN program tips wanted!
Hi everyone! I am waiting to hear back from the ABSN programs that I have applied to. In the meantime, I have been looking online trying to gather information about how to prepare myself for the program, what to expect, and how to manage time/do well in school. Thankfully, I graduated college with a BS in Biology, so that may help me a bit when it comes to studying. However, I was just wondering if any of you could give me tips in regards to doing well, managing times, and any other helpful tips. I would really appreciate anything you would have to say. :)
