Hi all, I am just wondering if anyone reading this post is or was an RN at Langley Porter Psychiatric Institute in San Francisco. I have been searching for months to see where LPPI posts their jobs and I haven't found any on the UCSF/ Benioff career link. I am wondering if Langley Porter posts positions on a different website? I've seen postings for psychiatrists and nurse managers at the institute, but never an RN position. Does anyone have any information on how to apply for a job at Langley Porter? Thanks so much!

Hi imadnr3w, I contacted nursys support via email (there's a place you can send them a message) about possible expiration of my nursys verification and received an email back saying "Nursys License Verifcation do not expire. The verification remains in nursys until the BON deletes it." They were also able to tell me the date when the CA BON verified my license in the email. I recommend reaching out to them because they respond within 24 hrs and are helpful.

Cnp2012 thanks for responding! If you have the chance to talk to him, that would be great. I'd love to hear about his experience with it. I was reading other postings about it, and I'm starting to think it's not the best option for me right now. However, it's hard to not explore something that would cover the full cost of tuition... Also, in terms of housing, how did you find your apt or at least your first apt? I'm guessing at the accepted students day we will have an opportunity to meet our cohort and maybe make some plans, but is there a place where current students post about openings?

Has anyone thought about applying to the HRSA Nurse Corps Scholarship program? Or possibly know anyone that has? I am considering applying to it, but I really don’t know if I want to go through what seems like a very intensive application process if I am not even sure I want to commit to two years of service. The main reason to not committing would be going back to school for an MSN/MPH before that time frame was over. Cnp2012, is anyone in your cohort part of this program?

Hi all! I received my call for admission to fall ABSN program around 230pm so they are calling today!! So excited!!!! They also told me over the phone I had been chosen for the coverdell scholarship. Seriously SO SO SO excited!!! I had been preparing for the worst especially since I hadn't applied anywhere else. Can't wait to meet everyone!!!
