  1. I just took the test and passed, I did not buy any study guides, etc. If you print out everything on their website and study that you will be good.
  2. Ditto, gauze over site as you are withdrawing and hold pressure. And ditto again, there is no needle there, it is plastic only and to thin and pliable to puncture anything.
  3. Always address sexual remarks immediately and put the brakes on them. Tell them the first time an inappropriate comment leaves their mouth that you do not appreciate it and to please refrain from this or you will have to report the incident and a different nurse will be assigned. With all sexual harrassement you first have to let the perp know that you have said "no" to this, 2nd time you are done with them and management takes over the issue.
  4. Defintely call the police. Bodily injury is not ok, even if lots of folks think because it's a nurse that was attacked it doesn't count. There are laws out there that protect EMT's if they are attacked doing care, I believe it is a felony. I would think the facility who knowingly puts an employee in danger would be liabile for harm. Most facility's will not accept someone who is dangerous due to worker comp issue and liability. Defintely do not put yourself in harms way. Call for help!
  5. I am ready for "Obamacare", let's give it a chance. What we currently have is not working. I can't tell you the number of people we see with no insurance who delay care until it's to late and get either an early death or a massive debt. Everyone deserves healthcare.
