  1. Didn't get the 6 West position but I talked to a recruiter who said they are still interviewing for NICCU so there is still a chance...my goodness lol
  2. Just called to interview for 6 West this week. I'm so excited!
  3. Went to CHLA for the RN Drop-in hour. The person in HR said they haven't started interviewing for NICU yet and they will start calling letting people know yes or no either this week or next week. There is still hope lol
  4. Did they call or email you to let you know about the interview?
  5. Congrats! I'm super anxious now and hope to get a call soon...there is still time lol. Ive been a nurse for 5 years and my background is in adult critical care. I'm currently a travel nurse right now. My last travel contract let me work in the PICU and i fell in love so I'm looking for a staff job working with children.
  6. I haven't heard anything...hoping to hear something before Christmas lol
  7. Congrats! How was your interview? Any advice?
  8. Hey! I applied for the program in the NICU as well. I haven't heard anything but I am anxious to know.
  9. After a nursing job interview, what would be appropriate to write in a thank you card? Example: "thank you for taking the time to interview me for a RN position. I look forward to hearing from you"
  10. I just passed NCLEX and I have three job interviews this upcoming week. Any advice on having a successful interview?
  11. Thank you for the tips and encouraging words in this forum. I found out yesterday that I passed the NCLEX exam. To all those preparing for the exam, never give up! I've taking the test multiple times but I am finally a registered nurse. Happy New Year!
  12. I take the NCLEX very soon and I was wondering if anyone had any tips or tricks to decipher between Addison's Disease, Graves' disease, myxedema, hyperthyroidism, hypothyroidism...all of them are similar and I tend to mix them up.
  13. In Illinois you can take it as many times as you want within three years
  14. I have taken 3 Kaplan courses, ATI prep, private tutoring, taken NCSBN online prep, thousands of questions, went through Saunders prep book and delegation prep book, reviewed with nurse who are currently in the field, watched YouTube videos, and even took the Med-Surg course for nurses who specialize in med-surg
