  1. What does hourly or salary rate look like for someone in this position utilization review case manager
  2. Yes I seen this unfortunately they dont have a pediatric practice exam I'm just going to review my pediatric textbook.
  3. I am taking a PICU prophecy test in a week did you find any study material?
  4. How do you like the change? I have same experience med/oncology and very burned out. I'm about to start my ICU position in a week. I'm excited and nervous.
  5. montov replied to montov's topic in Critical Care
Thank you all for your insight I really needed it. I just received a call wanting to offer me the ICU position and just interviewed for the Pedi ER which the interviewer did mention it is much more like clinic vs critical care and I would be rotating between Pedi and Adult ER. So i think I am going to call and listen to their offer and most likely go into ICU so I can get that critical experience, learn vents, and extra lines.
  6. I work in adult medicine/oncology straight out of nursing school I have 2 1/2 years experience now and I can't get into the NICU because I lack critical care or pediatrics experience. I would say look for a pediatric position or critical care because my 2 years experience has not got me any offers other than areas similar to where I'm already at.
  7. I have 2 years experience on a medicine/oncology floor and my ultimate goal is to work in the NICU. I have tried applying to NICU and pedi ER positions with no luck because of my lack of experience in that area. I was told to seek pediatric or critical care jobs to gain experience. My question is, I have been offered an opportunity in Thoracic ICU and I'm unsure if I should take it to get critical care experience or keep applying to pediatric/NICU positions and hope to get a call back. I'm nervous I'll take the position and something else will finally open up.
  8. How did you get your resume looked at. I'm having the hardest time trying to get into the NICU from Oncology/Medicine floor. All the openings I come across want an experienced Nicu nurse
  9. Yay! Got my acceptance to San Jac :)

  16. Nope I wish. Im hoping to get in to Acc or San Jac
  17. Cool, I went to the 1st meeting. I am also going to apply to San Jac and HCC. ACC is the one I am hoping for then San Jac....HCC would be my last choice if I get a choice. They seem sooo unorganized.

  20. Thanks I take the TEAS next week and HESI in February. I have been studying & I hope I do well. I really hate tests. Are you applying to Alvin this Fall. I thought about Lonestar as well but it seemed too far for me. Good Luck to you too! :)
  21. Are there any Fall 2013 applicants for San Jacinto, Alvin, or Houston Community College. I am planning on applying to all 3 & hoping 1 will accept me. I am very nervous. Has anyone taken the TEAS test, any insight?
