  1. I just got an email from admissions w/ an open seat!!!!! Alternates...check your emails regularly from now until November 19th! I had to respond by tomorrow at 2:30 (already did of course!) so they're not giving you long to accept.
  2. From my latter I received last year it looks like they want American Heart Association certification, which lasts two years....so I guess it'd have to be a current AHA certification.
  3. Congrats jbluefox!!! and no problem on the deadline info. Glad you called!! Of course April couldn't tell me my chances of getting in but she was pretty positive. I got off the phone w/ her feeling better than I had before I called. Hope to see everyone next week!!
  4. I called admissions today and the deadline is Thursday to accept/decline.
  5. I have a favor to ask to those of you who have received your acceptance letters... 1) when is orientation? 2) what vaccinations do you need and do you need a physical? And 3) if you ARE NOT accepting your position can you let me know so I can kind of figure out if I'll get called or not? They won't let us know til November 19 so I feel like I need to get on the ball with doc appts. Thanks!! And congrats to everyone accepted!
  6. My husband just called me. I'm #2 on the wait list. Ugh!!!
  7. Mine still hasn't changed either but I'm getting more and more confident that it will. Trying not to get too excited though!! Congrats rddavis!! :)
  8. jjjohnson, that makes me super happy for you!!! and super hopeful for me!!! I have 144, so it's looking pretty good for me I guess
  9. I don't think they'll tell you over the phone, but I guess you could try. If you go to the FTCC website and click techlink at the top of the page, it tells you how to log in. It's the same username and password you use for blackboard.
  10. No problem! I'm just going to keep neurotically checking Techlink every 10 minutes until mine changes :)
  11. For those of you who have seen a change on your Techlink, then it definitely means you got in!!! CONGRATS!!!! I got accepted into the Fall 2015 program but had to decline my seat, and mine changed to that before I received my letter. I just checked mine now and don't see a change yet but still hopeful! I applied with 144 points so if they accepted someone with 145, I hope I can AT LEAST be waitlisted. I'm freaking out now!!!!
  12. I asked at my MAR why the state did away with those classes. She told me that since most hospitals want a bachelors that they made it easier for ADNs to transfer to BSN. So in a sense they're helping us. Just makes me angry that they didn't give us some sort of a heads up!! Anywho the points should be lower this year so we all still have a chance! And the waiting game begins...
  13. Nope just me. I went around 5:00 though
  14. She told me we should hear something by the end of October and if not to call and check. You can also see on Techlink under your profile whether or not you get in before you get your letter. It'll change from gen occ pre nursing to adn...or something along those lines.
  15. Same here! I'm just hoping that a ton more people are in the same boat as we are! The thing that ticks me off the most is that we had the option to take the classes that we're having to take over...just chose to do the WRONG ones! I'm interested in seeing what other people's points are!
