  1. Margeux: Yes this is the same hospital. Gail Pieper is the Director of Peds. You would like it here. It is nice and beautiful weather. The city is not small at all, pretty good size actually. about 2 hrs. from San Francisco and 5 hrs from LA. It is a good place to work. Midge
  2. Dear ShyNurse I work at SVMH and it is a very safe area. I have moved here from Las Vegas. I am currently staying at the Residence Inn. I, too, was very nervous about moving here, however, I have found it to be a fine place to live. My husband and I have recently bought a home here. I am the Director of Women and Children's Service at SVMH. There is gang activity in East Salinas, but there is gang activity in every town. Unless you plan on hanging out there you are safe. I have been by myself for almost 3 months and do feel safe.
