  1. Hey everyone! I have been following this community for awhile, but I have finally decided to join! I currently work in a large urban hospital on a 51 bed CT Surgery and Interventional Telemtry Unit. It's basically a cardiac step down unit. Anyways, I have been working there since July 2012. I want to eventually transition into an ICU possibly at the end of the year (By then I'll have 1.5 years experience). My question: How long is orientation in an ICU for an experienced nurse (and by experienced I simply mean not a new grad straight from school). How would this orientation differ from my orientation as a new grad? Thank you!
  2. hollyw22, When you applied for Penn, did you take the GRE Exam prior to applying? I understand that they offer a GRE waiver, but just because you meet the qualifications, does not guarantee that you will receive it. I would like to apply to begin the ACNP Program part time in the Fall of this year! However, I have no yet taken the GRE, and I am trying to decide if I should take it to be on the safe side. Also, (this may sound like a silly question) I understand that the application deadline is not until July 1, but is there any harm in applying earlier? I am also looking into applying for Jefferson and their application deadline is April. So, I would like to have everything in around the same time. Thank you!
