I was an RT then a neuro ICU nurse. Got bored with both. I've been a CRNA for over 30 years and I've yet to want or have time to do anything else. I do hospital OB and epidurals full time. I moon light doing pain clinic, GI lab and office plastics prn. I live in a metro area in TX and make over 200k a year. Honestly, I am one of few people I know who loves my job and consider my self lucky to have found this career when at the time I started, pay was the same as an RN supervisor job I was offered. The school was totally consuming with an 80% divorce rate, mine included. I would never recommend the school for someone with kids, forget outside work or social life. Yet, if I knew what I know now of what a good fit it is for me, I would do it again for only RN pay
