[COLOR=#003366]jngo91 , I just purchase an NCLEX review book by Saunders and I am going to review it along with my textbook and ppt slides. [COLOR=#003366]simplycompcaro , I wish I could record the lecture but for some reason its prohibbit in my program. =( . Some girl was recording a lecture and she got in trouble. Thank you for your advice, I will go over the NCLEX book. =). Red35, yes I am taking the fundamentals right now. We are the topics on Stress and coping, grieving process, spirituality and patient safety. Thank you for your help, I think I will start looking up certain things on youtube. Congrats on your exam =)
  2. Oh wow cool, thank you for your input 4boysmama :) I really appreciate it. I am going to practice alot of reading/understanding the question. Because my first exam, I felt like what I study was not even on the test. So its time to change my ways of thinking.
  3. I completely understand what you are going through. However, if you want to become a nurse badly, then you should hang in there, it will be rewarding and well worth it at the end. As far as being criticized, maybe your professor is trying reverse psychology on you. Some people get motivated when they get criticize because, thats what drives them to do better. So dont take it negatively, take that criticism and turn it into something postive. Then next thing you know, you learn from your mistake and will do better the next time around. But dont let other discourage you or tell you otherwise. You can do anything as long as you set your mind to it, you have made it this far and I bet you work really hard to get where you are at. Dont let that just slip away. I know life seems to be on pause at the moment, but once you work hard later on you can play hard:). I wish you the best of luck.
  4. I will make sure to buy tons of peppermint gum..haha, and I love peppermint mocha too. Thanks for the advice jnurse21. I look into pruchasing those books. =)
  5. Thank You, for your helplittlebear23. I will definitaly practice, practice, practice and study with the NCLEX book. I actually e-mail the director today to see we can go over my test because registration is coming up in July for the Fall Semester. Someone had actually try to record a lecture and got in trouble. Which means, I have to try and coordinate my head with my hand faster than usual. haha.Like you said, reading is tedious work but there is no other way and it must be done. Your words of wisdom along with the other nice people here that has responed to me have gave me courage to move forward again. :)
  6. Thank You for your help tracylynne79. Its true what you said, about adjusting to the type of questions that is given to us during a test. I need to get in the swing of things. I'll try to talk to my instructor and see what she tells me. I was actually getting discourage and thinking of withdrawl from the program but I think ill hang in there, like you said. Becoming a nurse is my dream and its my passion.
  7. Thank You for the advice. Which NCLEX book do you recommend? There are so many to chose from, I don't know where to start

  9. Thank You for your advice. I will be look into buying the Mnemonics book.
  10. Hey everyone, I was wondering if anyone can give me great tips or technique to survive and PASS my nursing exams. I already took my first one and sadly I did not do too well. I study really hard for this exam too and most of the material was not even on the test.I review my notes, read the chapters each night up until the day of the exam and read over the power point slides. Plus I bought the Fundamental Success book. I feel so lost right now:cry:. I worked so hard to get into the program and I would HATE (yes, I know hate its such a strong word) to fail or leave the program. I need to do exremely well on my next two exam plus the final in order for me to move on to the next section. Right now I am really under stress. I would be greatly appreciative for any advice.
  11. Hey Mayyah, How's it going? did you took the first exam yet? how was it?
  12. I know my class didn't take it, because there was about half the class that show and we need 2/3 of the class to be present to take the quiz. So ask your professor, if they took the quiz for sure. Also, there are no make up quiz or exam.
  13. Hey Mayyah, yes we had class today. It started at 11am. At first the campus was suppose to reopen at 9am but the snow was too much, that they pushed up the hour. I think we had class today because next week is president weekend and the campuses are close.
  14. Yea, on the 9th we have our first quiz.. Hope to see you Saturday. :)
  15. Thank you for letting me know. Yes there is a lot of material to read. It took me 2days to read all the chapters and practicing the math. Then I started to study my a&p2 material. At any rate I am in the morning class myself on saturdays and I'm really into this course. Its really interesting.
