  1. Sorry for the super late response! No, they require ALL pre reqs be done by spring semester before you would begin the program. Which ruled me out of possibly starting August of this year:( But I attended their info session today and really enjoyed it! So I plan on applying for the Aug 2014 start date:)
  2. i see...well thanks anyways:) hope you're holding up well!!
  3. Jami-- did you take your organic chem at cscc? That's the pre req I'm nervous about taking online.
  4. MissPickleJean, I am taking the CHEM test hoping to test out as well. REALLY don't want to have to take any classes I don't have to!! I graduated more than 5 years ago, but I am able to get into Micro, Anatomy and Physiology because luckily took basic BIO in college. I am planning on taking it sometime next month so I can register for summer classes based on whether or not I pass. If I take it before you I will let you know and give you any advice I can!! Are you in any classes right now?? I am in Micro and Nutrition, next quarter I plan on taking Anatomy and either Organic Chem or basic Chem based on how I do.
  5. Yes!! that would be great information to know!! Good luck MissPickleJean!!:)
  6. That is great to hear jami! I know the percentage that pass the NCLEX out of the SDAP is extremely high as well...I love Mount Carmel, had my children there and my mom worked there for years. Heartnursing--The time frame is an area I am struggling trying to determine which would be better, Capital which is longer but less intensive, or Mount Carmel's which is shorter but 5 days a wk vs. 4. I have three children 4 and under so part of me says it would be better to be at Capital where I will still be home with them 3 days a week. I am going to info sessions at both colleges over the next couple months so hopefully one speaks to me over the other! This is all assuming I can get into either program!!! My grades in college were good and I am doing well so far with pre requisites, but I know how few people get in...SO I have been praying:) Want this so bad!
  7. The application period is actually Feb 1- May 31 this year:) I am taking pre reqs now, going to apply to both programs and hope for the best! I am currently a stay at home mom so either one I end up in I will not be working! How many hours a day take home work are you doing? How will your schedule change once clinicals start? Thanks!
  8. Hello! I am applying to accelerated BSN programs and am in the midst of taking my pre requistites. I was wondering if anyone who has attended either school can give any insight, What are the hours of a typical day? How many hours outside of school are you studying? etc etc
  9. Hello! I am applying to accelerated BSN programs and am in the midst of taking my pre requistites. Had a question I was hoping you guys could answer. I will have all Capital's pre reqs completed this Spring quarter besides Physiology. I will complete that Summer qtr after I complete Anatomy. CSCCs summer quarter ends before the 2013 start date at Capital, but the website said all pre reqs completed by Spring, do you think I should still apply or would this rule me out? I am going to contact the office, but wanted to see if you knew:) Also, what are the hours of a typical day in the program? Thanks so much!!
