  1. There are lots of different opinions about the UNF and JU programs. I LOVE UNF! I have a great relationship with all of my professors! We do have community work, but it's not a lot until your last semester. The NCLEX itself was just changed and while many schools saw their pass rates decrease- UNF's actually increased. More material about population-based care (community nursing) was added to the exam. I also have several friends who are at JU. They have not had a good experience. They have had issues with several professors and felt like they were not getting the information they needed to succeed in those areas of nursing. Again, some people will love our program and others won't. I think you will get that at any nursing school you choose to attend.
  2. Congrats to everyone who got an interview! I am in the accelerated program right now and I remember exactly what it felt like to be in your shoes last year! I'm going to be helping with the interviews this year... I look forward to meeting y'all!
  3. I just got my letter and it says we have to let UNF know if we are attending by 8am on Friday, March 22nd. I hope you get good news from UF and UNF soon!
  4. I am shocked to see some of you denied and wait-listed! Your scores are phenomenal! I really hope those of you wait-listed get bumped up... you are definitely deserving in my opinion! Sarabeeh, did you get accepted to the accelerated program or the regular program?
  5. My status changed to admit!!!
  6. Yeah, I will have to say that I was really impressed with everyone in my group. I think I did good, but then I start second-guessing myself and my answers. The interviewers were so nice and funny, so that helped me relax a lot...
  7. Q: Favorite Food? A: I have so many favorites! This week I would have to say mac 'n cheese. Q: Favorite hobby outside of nursing? A: Playing piano. I've played for 18 years now. It's a great way to relieve stress! Q: Birthplace? A: Jacksonville Q: Current residence? A: Jacksonville Q: Type of nursing you want to pursue? A: I'm not sure yet. I have several areas that interest me. Q: What made you want to pursue nursing? A: 1) I was able to help with a medical missions trip to an orphanage in Asia. 2) I've had several experiences a couple of years ago with my own health that interested me in nursing 3) my sister and brother are both nurses Q: Pets A: I don't have any pets. My husband and I would love to get a dog, but our schedules don't allow that right now.
  8. I think that means that of the 160 people invited to interview, 103 of them applied for the accelerated program (which you are correct about there only being 27 spots). I was wondering what the break down of accelerated to regular applicants was for the interviews... 103 is a lot more than I was expecting!
  9. I just saw the stats posted on the fb page: 160 invited to interview 103 are eligible for ACPL BSN
  10. Hello everyone! I also have an interview at 8:30! I'm nervous and excited already!
