  1. If you have to memorize location print off an unlabeled picture, put it in a sheet protector, and label the parts over and over again using a dry erase marker. That's really been helping me with memorizing location! :)
  2. Look up YouTube videos!! It's really been helping me. Somebody on here recommended bullharrier's videos to me and they are great! I like to watch them in place of when I normally would watch TV (while I'm eating, before bed, etc.)
  3. At my school labs are the anatomy portion and lecture is the physiology portion. So its pretty much like two classes in one. So yeah, there is just as much effort needed in labs as lectures.
  4. Cut the notecards in half before you start writing on them! A 100 pack turns into a 200 pack. That's what I do. :)
  5. You say you're not very good at science. You are going to have to learn a lot of science if you're going to go into nursing. If I were you I would be making sure I had s firm grasp on the basics you learn in high school because it only gets harder in college. Take science electives (A&P, etc). If your school offers classes that double as college credit I would do that also. And see if your school has any health related clubs :)
  6. Also, check koofers website and see if anybody uploaded your professors past tests! So you can get a feel of what they are like. DON'T make that your primary source of studying though because 1.) you need to know this stuff in your nursing career and 2.) sometimes they change their tests.
  7. Im in the same boat! There's so much info there wouldn't be enough notecards in the world to fit it all on. One thing my professor told us to do that is helping me is as you are reading the textbook make sure to have a notepad to write down everything that was unclear! When you are done reading the chapter schedule a tutoring appointment or Google/YouTube/etc the things you were unsure about. Also you will have a list of things you need to put a lot of emphasis on studying when the test is near :) Other than that I have no idea! I'm sitting here as I type this looking at my A&P textbook and feeling super overwhelmed also!
  8. I wish I would have taken Chemistry before biology, I feel like I would have better understood it. And I DEFINITELY wish I would have taken Chemistry before A&P.
