I am in the process of applying to several nursing programs in the Houston Texas area. I am right now preparing to take both the TEAS and HESI as certain schools accept one but not the other. I am applying for a spring 2016 start date. My question is regarding GPA. I currently have a 3.2 cumulative GPA and a 3.75 Science GPA. I have already retaken the maximum of courses eligible to re-take so I am at the end of the rope on regarding any hopes of raising my cumulative 3.2. I am preparing and studying hard for the HESI and TEAS as I am aware acceptance into a university also depends on that. Basically I need an honest opinion; do I stand a chance of being accepted with my current GPA's? I really would prefer a BSN program, but I am also applying to some ADN programs as well. The applicant/acceptance rate into all nursing programs in Houston and maybe everywhere is extremely competitive, so honestly from anyone out there, I would appreciate any feedback and constructive criticism to aide me along right now.
