Where were u 9/11/01?
I was working at the Texas Medical Center in Houston. My office was in major crosswalk so everyone was stopping in to see what was going on. The thing that I will always remember was that just about every ethnic/religious group was represented in our office as well as professionals...M.D.s, medical students, R.N.s, auxillary staff and the general public. We all knew what was happening to our country at that particular time. I was extremely sad but at the same time proud to be with such a diverse group. Everyone's heart was in the right place on that morning. Thank you all for remembering those lost as well as honoring the heroes.

Breastfeeding pumps
Does anyone have a website/forum that compares different types of breastfeeding pumps and mother's feedback. Most of the website that I've looked at are from the different companies and it would be nice to get feedback about the electric and manual pumps from new mom's point of view...like the "good housekeeping seal of approval". Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hospital staff mean to students, advise needed from an instructor
I truly suggest that instructors need to meet with not only the cno of this particular facility but these issues must be addressed with the head of the human resource department. jacho is addressing the issue of students being properly supervised during clinical rotation visits. also you need to look at the university affliliation agreement between the hospital and the school. this should give you directions as well as grounds. please take action, empower your students and these future nurses

help with paying back student loans
Does anyone know of any hospitals in the US that help new graduate RNs assistance with paying back their students loans as a recruitment tool? Not tuition reimbursement but paying back on a student loan for a work agreement. Any help would be appreciated.
