Passed Transitions!
I didn't find the studyguide 101 tests/quizzes to be like the real exam. I only used maybe a couple of the quizzes but there are SO many it's impossible to memorize all of the info in them! I would suggest the excelsior practice tests rather than the studyguide ones, but I LOVE the studyguide101 material layouts.

Passed Transitions!
I DEFINITELY would suggest using the practice exams! The questions on the real test are similar. Also when using the practice exam, study the rationales and you'll be fine :)

Passed Transitions!
Hi all! I took my first excelsior exam, transitions today, and passed with a C! I used the studyguide101 material, the EC content guide and practice tests ( I got a 76 on test A and a 59 on test B). I didn't study alot... i would study at work a bit for maybe a 1/2 hour a day and an hour or two on the weekends for a month. I should have studied alot more than I did but it was slow going for me since my brain felt a little rusty Good luck to anyone attempting this test soon!

LPN job conundrum
I just got a job as an LPN with an internal medicine clinic on 9/10/12. I love my job! It's really great. However, I have been having some problems with my coworkers who constantly tattle tale, are catty, rude and virtually know nothing of the word "teamwork". My problem is that I basically just got offered another LPN position within the same hospital network working in pediatrics! Now I realize that animosity between coworkers is everywhere you go and I don't expect a night and day difference... BUT I don't know whether to stay where I am comfortable, OR to work in pediatrics to get some variation under my belt as I am currently in school to get my RN. Any input would be greatly appreciated!!

Finally am an Excelsior LPN to RN student!
After stalking allnurses.com for months for information and inspiration, I finally enrolled this November, and have scheduled my first test (Transitions) for the end of this month. I am so thrilled to be back in school and have missed it extremely since I graduated LPN school in June! After passing my NCLEX-PN I am now working at a great doctors office which is a awesome job to have while pressing on and diving into the great journey to get my RN! Any advice on study plans, motivators, and must-have books, are greatly appreciated. I already have been using the studyguide101 notes, and utilizing the excelsior practice exams which have been invaluable. Thanks everyone!
