    Hello! I am new to this board and I was hoping someone out there can help me. My sitsuation: I am an LPN in NW OH wanting to start a non-medical elder care (assisted living) service NOT skilled home care. I have done much research on the topic through franchises, but I have only recently considered avoiding the franchise and doing it on my own. I have teamed up with a dear friend who is a social worker and we think we could really offer quality care to seniors. Is anyone out there doing this? If so, are you with a franchise or on your own? We live in an area that has a high elder population with very little competition. We have an attorney and CPA ready to discuss business with us. We have also located a policy/procedure manual for just such services and we have a wealth of marketing resources. Do we have a chance alone? Thank you in advance for your time! :)
